I love this! Not sure how accurate the period detail is, though. It looks the part, but I think some of the plot lines of Jim & Barbara are a bit ahead of their time- the 60s were still still pretty conservative. Not sure erectile dysfunction would make it into the script. And I’m certain civil servants didn’t work from home. Most of them weren’t allowed to do that three years ago, never mind 60.

I really enjoyed this, binge watched it over the last two days. Would definitely like to see a second series.

I wondered if Barbara's character was based on any actual actresses/comedians at the time. Diane looks like she was based on an actual journalist around in the late 60s, I read an article mentioning the Enoch Powell (😡) tv interview.

I binge watched this and really enjoyed it.

At first i did think it was based on real life. will be interesting to know if it is or not.

I hope for a second series.

I'm really enjoying it. The scene with her flatmate and the bowl of custard was brilliant.

Loved it too- so many great characters and Gemma A was amazing.
