I liked that Ryan made Catherine realise that Claire had been there all the time.
It was great that Ryan felt able to disclose info about his father to the police.
Not forgetting how happy Ryan had been to be told he looked like a suitable police recruited. He nearly skipped up the stairs. So despite Catherine being so hard on him most of the time, she obviously hadn't alienated him.
I can see that Catherine would go into the house without waiting for backup but thought the earlier scence of her going back to the house was not realistic. It was just a plot device to have the photo albums out.
Not sure about Tommy setting himself alight, but then he had shown form on this.
They didn't explain why the teacher was not charged with murdering his wife, but suddenly talked about finding exploitative photos of students on his phone. Which wouldn't be evidence that he hadn't also killed his with. Just that he was an all round manipulator and exploiter.
And I think as said up thread, it is a shame that they didn't make it 90 minutes to show how the loose ends were tied up around Faisal. Even if they proved he had supplied drugs and lived near the murder crime scene how would they link him to that.
They got Darius because Tommy kept saying to Catherine remember to tell them is was Darius who killed the man tommy had confessed to.
But agree all the storyline were about Catherine being really good at her job. I was more worried she would have a breakdown after retiring as she wouldn't have anything to keep her occupied.
