Here is my petty gripe for the day.
You know A Place in the Sun/A New Life in the Sun? They are mainly filmed in Spain.
Why, for the love of ALL THAT IS HOLY, can they not learn to pronounce the town/city they are filming in? The presenters have literally no excuse - they are RIGHT THERE. Just ask a passer-by for feck's sake!
I know the narrators are just recording their voice overseas in a studio, but does no one think, hang on, let's make sure we are saying this correctly? For example, saying mur-CI-a, instead of MUR-ci-a.
Same for saying names of Spanish people popping up on the show - isn't it common bloody courtesy to say their names right? AL-va-ro, not al-VA-ro.
Sigh. And breaaattthhhheee....I feel better now!
