Here is my petty gripe for the day.
You know A Place in the Sun/A New Life in the Sun? They are mainly filmed in Spain.

Why, for the love of ALL THAT IS HOLY, can they not learn to pronounce the town/city they are filming in? The presenters have literally no excuse - they are RIGHT THERE. Just ask a passer-by for feck's sake!

I know the narrators are just recording their voice overseas in a studio, but does no one think, hang on, let's make sure we are saying this correctly? For example, saying mur-CI-a, instead of MUR-ci-a.
Same for saying names of Spanish people popping up on the show - isn't it common bloody courtesy to say their names right? AL-va-ro, not al-VA-ro.

Sigh. And breaaattthhhheee....I feel better now!

A couple of years ago LLL did an episode and they visited a property in our town. Kirsty Allsop did the voice over . OK so our town is called Keynsham and is pronounced Cane-shum. She managed to mangle it and came out with something that sounded like Keeners-Ham. A little bit of work by the researchers could have put that right and not make our teeth itch.
