What were the best Christmas specials?

I watched Motherland, The Cleaner and Gone fishing so
Far as we were so frantic over the actual festive period.
What was good? Anything uplifting (unlike poor Marion in Motherland) or comedy would be great. Big thanks 🙏

I thought Ghosts was lovely, comedy but with soul.

I loved the movie Christmas Carole on Sky Max

(Not quite as good as the series, but such a joy to spend time with them again)

Doc Martin and Shakespeare and Hathaway although dc1 (who's autistic) was not happy as at the end it references watching the queen's speech and not the Kings so then dc worked out it must have been filmed prior to September and therefore was not Christmas viewing!

Ooh Dh loves the Detectorists and said it was fab.
Thanks for the other options. I also watched Rob and Romesh which was ok but not as good as their other attempts at doing stuff !

For me it was Two Doors Down. I just loved Christine using her loyalty points to treat her pals to a Festive toastie. I still have to watch Doc Martin and CTM; I'm saving those to savour this weekend. Quite disappointed that Not Going Out didn't have a special.

Ghosts, I rewatched their previous two as well. That show is just sublime.

Older classics I always watch every year are Blackadder's Christmas Carol (on iplayer at the moment) and Father Ted (Ireland's biggest lingerie section).
