A Yellowstone Question

So I am late to the party and have just started to watch. Presuming this isn’t a spoiler since there are 5 seasons already aired!

Im liking what I am watching. The scenery is amazing however, do things get better for Kaycey? I’m on episode 4 and he’s been involved in several deaths already.

They do

Morninmornin · 31/12/2022 16:42

For a while at least

sailingsunshine · 31/12/2022 17:30

I love it esp the scenery and horses, for me Series 2 was the peak so make the most of it although I'm eagerly waiting for the next episode of Series 5 to drop possibly on Monday. Its one of the biggest cable shows in America.

Suedomin · 31/12/2022 17:36

I did like it but less keen on season five. I am finding Beth extremely hard to take.
I'm still watching it though and wondered what has happened to the new episodes as one wasn't one this week.

sailingsunshine · 31/12/2022 17:44

Yes @Suedomin , I also went to look for last week's but I think it was the Christmas break in the US, I have the IMDB app and it says next episode is 1st Jan so we will get it on the 2nd. Yes I'm also finding this series quite weak and Beth annoying. I've started 1923 too and again waiting for next episode on 1/2 Jan.

Harperweek · 02/01/2023 14:40

I've got Covid so happily watching episodes back to back. Just saw Beck's men break into Beth's office. They shot Jason....bastards.

Yes and no! (Sorry, that's probably not much help to you but you'll get it as you continue to watch)

SlowHorses67 · 02/01/2023 15:53

I’ve watched 4 series and I am going to say yes, certainly more yes than no, he has v tough times but comes out ok.

Harperweek · 05/01/2023 12:45

My Covid continues and I have made it to season 5. I have to say, I loved Beth to begin with but I am finding her difficult to take.

@Harperweek , I've got to episode 8 of series 5 but there seem to be no more and the IMDB app doesn't have a release date for the next 6 episodes.

In the meantime I've watched 4 episodes of 1923 on paramount which covers the Dutton family in early 20th cent with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. I would recommend but it looks like it's now a month long wait for next episodes.

Doublevodka · 09/01/2023 20:56

I gave up on season 1 of Yellowstone, might try it again. However I have just watched 1883, which is the beginning of the Dutton family story, the prequel to 1923. It’s usually not my kind of thing but oh my god, it is the best thing I have watched in years. I was gutted when it ended. I’m recommending it to everyone.

You need to watch 1883 as well. It's the beginning of the Duttons. Watch it before 1923.

sevensocks · 09/01/2023 22:28

Just finished 1883, really loved it. Will start 1923 next. Also waiting on next episode of Yellowstone and really fed up with Beth now and why have they made the Jamie character so weak? he's also annoying.

As a side note if you enjoy this genre, I really recommend The English and quite an old series called Godless.

Timeandtune · 11/01/2023 07:15

We are almost finished season 2 and the one thing that hugely annoys me is Beth’s irrational hatred for poor Jamie.
Have I missed anything which might explain this?

sailingsunshine · 11/01/2023 08:17

@Timeandtune , you haven't missed anything but it's an emerging storyline.

Did you see Kevin Costner won a Golden Globe last night for Yellowstone! So pleased as I love the show but have yet to meet anyone in person outside my family who watches it in the U.K.!

Timeandtune · 11/01/2023 08:22

That’s good to know - thanks. I am absolutely fascinated by it . Attracted and repelled in equal measure.

SlowHorses67 · 11/01/2023 12:07

@Timeandtune I was exactly the same as you, but yes emerging story line! Do come back and say what you think about Jamie further down the line.

KimberleyClark · 10/03/2023 23:40

I bloody love Yellowstone. Most gripping engrossingthing I’ve watched in a long time. Rip😍

redrobin75 · 11/03/2023 14:29

@KimberleyClark , me too, and 1923 is almost better, 1883 pretty good too.
