Blimey. There was too much of Freddie tonight. He’s the father isn’t he.
keeble organised that kidnap of Kat

That's what I thought about Freddie.

Must be Keeble.

Who was Phil talking to on the phone at the end, saying he had good news?

AutumnalLeaves38 · 02/01/2023 20:02

I always said that Whitney ( ex nanny trained ) should open a crèche or after school club!

I've had long periods of not watching EE: I (think I) remember her doing some sort of TA work in a school ages ago, but have no recollection of her training to be a nanny?
Can you jog my aged memory, please? Grin

MichaelAndEagle · 02/01/2023 20:07

I don't think Freddie will be the dad.

I think Phil was leaving a message for Kat.

Freddie and Lily must be blood related with Jean and Little Mo being cousins.

the80sweregreat · 02/01/2023 20:09

I forgot Mack and Mia on my long list of children earlier on ..
Whitney did take them after Chantelle was murdered by evil Gray
A kind of a nanny role there

the80sweregreat · 02/01/2023 20:12

Whitney was a TA once.
I don't think she has Nannying qualifications, but she could easily obtain some given the amount of random children there are in one small area !

Bonjovispyjamas · 02/01/2023 20:38

I also thought it may be Freddie as he was so heavily featured tonight, I don't think so though, hope not anyway as he's so sweet.

Aquarius1234 · 02/01/2023 20:45

They never seem to ask the girls why in these storyline. Other than no I wasn't abused or raped.

Meredusoleil · 02/01/2023 20:48

I thought Kat and Stacey were cousins? Not Kat and Jean. Which makes Little Mo and Stacey cousins too and then Freddie and Lilly would be second cousins?!?

Mrsjayy · 02/01/2023 20:48

The rest of the internet think it's Freddie because he has been heavily featured as a nice guy !

Ah but experience and qualification (or lack of) is no barrier in Eastenders .

Diane - GCSE in English , runs a Salon,
Kathy - no experience in Pub Management (but runs the cafe) opens a specialised bar .
Sharon- buys and runs a gym
Back in the day , Paul&Patrick Trumans mum opened a B&B
Felix&Finlay -open a Caribbean Food Stall
Anyone who picks up a spanner- mechanic
Put on a black suit- Funeral Director
Shine up a bonnet- Car Sales
They all seem to get pitches , a supplier and set up in the Market

You are right Charlie slater and Jeans husband were brothers, so Kat and Jean are niece and aunty making Kat and Stacey cousins.

the80sweregreat · 02/01/2023 20:56

IF it's Freddie , maybe Lily will mention sleep talking or something like that and they might twig then ? Much was made of his sleep talking today ..
I hope it's not him though as I like the character a lot. Plus he seems to prefer men, not that this means anything of course.
No idea, but I hope we find out soon plus will they want her to abort the baby ? What a dilemma ;(

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/01/2023 21:09

When Freddie and Bobby were in the Cafe , he did look concerned/relieved when Martin said about Lily in hospital . Maybe he's panicked because the pregnancy will be discovered .Or maybe he knows something . (And will sleep-shout)
Lily seemed in shock when Stacey told her she was pg , either doesn't know or in denial.

Freddie is growing on me too , he's like a little labrador puppy Grin

I don't think Freddie will be the dad.

Its not Freddie.

A few reasons:
Firstly, Freddie's father was a rapist. Therefore the storyline will be him being accused 'because father like son'.
Secondly, Easties have already done a storyline about family abuse and having a baby within the Slater family with Kat. Which again is going to be the reason Freddie gets accused.
Thirdly, its more likely to be a storyline either about child gang grooming, over sexualisation of kids via social media and parents not knowing who their kids are talking to on social media and meeting randoms online or peer on peer abuse at school because those are more 'current' topics which I don't think have been covered on Easties.

I think we will get a bunch of blokes accused before there is a shouting match round about Easter where Lily shouts 'its not x, it was y' on a Bank Holiday.

It will either be an unknown character who suddenly appears on the square sometime soon or it will be one of her male mates who put pressure on her staying she was frigid if she didn't - she hangs out a lot with older teenage boys. We know there is a whole pile of online pressure going on with Amy as it is, but we don't know exactly whats going on with that either.

Jellykat · 02/01/2023 21:27

I think, at some point, the finger may get pointed at Martin by the authorities.

RedToothBrush · 02/01/2023 21:33

Jellykat · 02/01/2023 21:27

Yep. They will work their way around the square accusing various males. Lily not wanting to tell Martin will be one of those 'reasons'.

Mrsjayy · 02/01/2023 21:50

Ah @RedToothBrush your social media current theory is probably the most logical and up to date and a proper teenage storyline.

nancy75 · 02/01/2023 21:59

They’ve shown Lily being cut off/distant from her group of friends recently - after she was concerned about Amy sleeping with Kim’s step son. At the time Lily was warning Amy if she invited the boy round he would expect sex. I think the dad will be another kid around her age

Toooldtoworry · 02/01/2023 22:05

So do I. My first thought was Kim's step son actually.

Meredusoleil · 02/01/2023 22:06

Maybe the never been done before storyline will be simly abortion? It seems no matter what age the female gets pregnant in EE or by who (including rape, adultery, underage) they ALWAYS keep the baby or at most give it up after its born (Denise, Bernie).

The only one I can think of who said she had had an abortion is Ash and that was before she arrived on the square!

Eastie77Returns · 02/01/2023 22:07

Jellykat · 02/01/2023 21:27

I think, at some point, the finger may get pointed at Martin by the authorities.

Or one of the many boyfriends Lily’s relatives have introduced into her home/life at the drop of a hat: Kheerat, Phil, Harvey…

The Slater household is a revolving door of confusion.

the80sweregreat · 02/01/2023 22:12

Danielle ( Ronnie Mitchell's late long lost daughter ) had an abortion once , I think she went through with it.

nancy75 · 02/01/2023 22:13

Were the Dlatets living with Kat up to recently? So oldest boy of Kat’s is possible (how old is he?)

lazymum99 · 02/01/2023 22:17

Didn’t Denise’s daughter squiggle have an abortion when quite young
