Watched this last night. I don't get it? Can anyone explain?! I have a feeling the plot was very clever and I'm too thick to get it!

The story the lady told her husband was that she saw her mum who was still alive so it wasn't a ghost it was a warning.

The Dr fella was seeing himself when he saw the figure by the tree and it was him hanging and gasping when he went up to the belfry.

It was a warning.

I watched this yesterday and didn't get it either !

What was in the bag though? Was it the jaw?
