Is it just me, or was this just not very good?

There were some laughs, but lots was really leaden, and the acting was pretty awful IMO.

But I understand it's award winning and popular, so I must be missing something...

I took a while to get into it, but I thought it was very clever to channel Morecambe & Wise without actually impersonating them. Also, you probably have to be aged 50+ to get all the M&W references 😂
Tom Hiddleston was fab too - a proper trouper and willing to be sent up.
