Celebrity shows...

I'm so bored of celebs. Like utterly..utterly... bored of every show dredging up "people of interest" to either humiliate themselves, become intrusively vulnerable, or basically sell their soul somehow or other for a public appearance. They all just seem to be doing a tour of reality/quiz shows these days, is that their career now?

There are a ridiculous amount of examples but the worst one is the quiz shows where they are playing for charity. This week I watched the Weakest Link and an episode of Pointless. The Weakest Link had appx 10 dire celebs, fail to answer vast majority of questions and one of them walked away with ~£1.5k for charity.

How much do they pay the celebs for appearances? How much does the production cost? This is a total farce, right? If it is truly for charity wouldn't they donate their appearance fee in the very least?

Why are we obsessed with "celebrities"?

Strictly would be another prime example, I would LOVE to see a year where they do a public ballot and run it with normal people! I'd definitely watch that instead of media trained/ex stage school celebs that I have to Google to see why they are famous.

It's the microcelebrities I can't understand. People who are on Celebrity whatever whom I've never heard of, When I google them, it appears they've been on Love Island, Geordie Shore or some other reality show. So basically they're famous for ........ nothing.
I don't watch any reality or "celebrity" shows but seem to be in the minority.
