Loving the wintery bird talk. Have watched Hamza and the robin more times than was necessary. 💖 We have two lots of birds here in large numbers, seagulls and those wee green parakeets that have lost their way. We've got fruit trees in the yard so they're very much our dawn to dusk chorus for a lot of the year. I remember the Blue Peter bird cake that they used to make every year. (And the invented husband eating the invented fat balls in the invented fridge that made it into classics on here)

Agree about Jowita. I'm always a bit "ooooh no, I don't want new people" (I'm dreadful-the nostalgia's big with me about everything 😂) Some I never really take to or "get" and I totally thought Jowita was going to be a "look at me, aren't I gorgeous and fabulous" (both of which are obviously true) But she's just perfect.
I was reading the Ariadne blog this week and she mentions Carlos not having done any lifts except one little one. I hadn't noticed tbf, I suppose we notice when the lifts are there, and are either spectacular (Hamza and Jowita) or looking through your fingers (Fleur and Vito-) but not when they're absent.

Shan't be with you tomorrow and will hide the outside world till Sunday when I can catch up. Off to the airport to get DD back from university. Such is her odyssey she might as well be a migrating bird tomorrow instead of just getting from Bath to Stansted. Hey ho!

Oti is a hard act to follow but Jovita is doing a great job.

What I love about the Jowita/ Hamza combo is that she's able to dance full throttle with him, and it doesn't feel like she's just dancing around him as can often be the case.

Just read that Hamza is doing the Strictly tour so I am definitely going to go

Good question @dollybird - probably not, although of course judges’ scores count for nothing in the final anyway. The final is usually a 10s-fest as everyone’s feeling demob-happy and extravagant.

Didn't Danny amd Oti mess up their quick step in the final so judges scored them lower? I think they still got a high score despite the mistake.

Yes they definitely went wrong in their QS. That, combined with a not great (Imo) SD cost them the final, I reckon. Ore's fab SD and epic Jive made him and Joanne stand out, when they probably would have been runner ups otherwise.

I hated Ore's jive and have never understood the fuss (might need to rewatch it with my Super Totally Knowledgeable After Watching The Show For So Long brain) so Danny not winning has always been extra bad for me. I liked Danny & Oti's showdance too.

Hamza and Jovita on ITT this evening. So cute! Love the respect and trust they have in one another. Just hope Hamza's knees can cope with all the lifts!

I cannot wait for Bruno's song and dance number on the Christmas show. Bruno Sings! was one of my favourite ever pro routines. IIRC, it was choreographed by Trent. Much as I wasn't keen on Pixie, I thought Trent was a strong choreographer. They should give him Jason Gilkson's job.

Rylan is great but ITT has been dire this year. Ever since the addition of Janette and the loss of Ian Waite, the show has seemed kind of adrift and struggling for material. It needs a big overhaul.

I love Ian Waite. He is very much missed on ITT for me.

I loved his show dance with Zoe. I think her voluminous skirt distracted from all the lovely feet stuff.

And their fox trot. A joyful fox. No melancholia or wistfulness. Just a happy smiley trot.

Agree. I used to watch ITT every night but I gave up half way through this year (have just realised I don't know who won the pro challenge!). Wish Zoe (and Ian) would come back.

I am on holiday so won't be watching or voting.Would be sad about this any other year, but I don't think I want to watch three CCs! I know it's been said before but what was the point in them learning ballroom then? Will watch on catchup when I get back.

I actually can't bear watching her on it. Brilliant brilliant dancer and choreographer, really wooden presenting.
Dan Walker has told all his followers on SM to vote for Helen. Which I find a bit off. And there are hundreds and hundreds of comments about how she should win because of her husband.
I think she might pull it off. #TeamHamza.
