ITVX not working?

I have a one year old Samsung Frame TV. All the main apps seem to work fine, except ITVX

Whenever I click on a show to watch, it says something along the lines of there is a problem with your wifi signal

Wifi works fine on iPlayer, Netflix etc

Any suggestions?

The app on my Samsung smart TV updated some time last week to the yellow ITVX one. I've opened the app a couple of times and it's clunky and slow (but then so was the Hub). Tried to watch something the other day and it wouldn't load, given up now.

I had this problem - see below advice from itvhub. I also have a Samsung.
The following reset steps might help to resolve this issue for you.
Open the ITV Hub app
On the Home screen press the following on the TV remote : 0 0 0 0 7 7 7
Close the app and power off the TV and router from the mains for 10 seconds.
Reopen and try again
What this should do is clear your ITV Hub data and all that it clears is unnecessary background data that has built up over time.

It won't affect anything important.

I’ve been watching it then come back later to watch something else and get a ‘sorry there’s an error at our end’ message. Quite annoying to say it works one min then down the next

Tried it last night - all seems to be working fine now.

Kids are really looking forward to watching Despicable Me 2 over Christmas!🤗

We're with Sky and we can't get ITVX on our tv. Disappointed as I wanted to watch the Plebs finale.

I’m with sky and can’t seem to get it.

Like others , though I have SKY Q I cannot get this.

I have been able to download it to my android phone though.

It's only on Sky glass and stream, should come to Sky Q sometime according to Sky forums, we have the old Sky+ and I doubt that will ever have it. Does seem to be working on Samsung TV though

I've just looked on my tv, sky Q and it's not in the apps. I previous had the ITV app on my iphone and that updated the other day to ITV X automatically.

Same, I had ITV Hub on my Amazon Fire tablet and that's updated to ITVX but we can't get it on Sky Q.

It’s ten minutes of a programme and five minutes of adverts.

I still have ITV hub on upstairs (my) TV ,but downstairs big has no itvhub ....just itvx . It happened automatically.

Do I have to do something with my old upstairs one ?

Check online the list of TVs that are not being updated to ITVX, it's mainly Samsung 2015 and before, though there are a few 2018 TVs not included from other brands. Our 2015 Samsung TV hasn't got it so we have to use Apple TV. You can also get Roku and Firestick so you may need one of those

Different problem with ITVX here. I'd been watching for free via ITVHub quite happily on my laptop. Suddenly ITVX has appeared instead. The sign up image to click to pay to watch advert-free stays on the screen all the time, blocking the subtitles from view and also getting in the way of what you are watching. The subtitles are unusable now for people with disabilities who rely upon them. The line showing how much of the programme you have watched and how much is still left to watch also stays on the screen all the time, getting in the way of what you are watching. The adverts are exactly the same ones, on repeat. It's all very annoying. It seems that ITV are trying to force people to sign up to pay for advert-free by making the free to view as painful as possible. It's low of them, especially given the cost of living crisis many people are suffering.

Try if you havnt done this

plug the tv in with No extension
just plug in the tv in the wall with no other device
mines perfect now doing this, 6 months trial and error
