What are you looking forward to watching over the Christmas period?

For me, it's Call the Midwife (I love it!), the Detectorists Christmas special, and the Motherland Christmas special 🎉

Also love Emily in Paris!

Looking forward to the new series of The Bold Type too...no idea when this is due though.

Motherland Christmas Special, this will genuinely be my Christmas highlight! (sad, i know)

Is there a Matilda musical and a Matilda musical film?

@Tirrrrred , Matilda the musical on at the cinema was going to Netflix on 25 Dec but 2 weeks ago they announced it's not going to Netflix in the U.K. (and Ireland ) until next Summer. It got me to go and see it in the cinema instead! The rest of the world can view it on 25 Dec.

Will there really be new His Dark Materials? Oh happy day!

Only saw last night that Detectorists will have a Christmas special. This is the point of the existence of the world.

And Happy Valley. Can one have too much traumatic ecstasy?

None of these so far inspire me I’m afraid. I am looking forward to the animation of The Boy, horse, mole thing.
Other than that, any ghost stories or an Agatha Christie would be good.

Have you ever watched Detectorists, @MissyB1 ? Reading of its return, I was tempted to perform a football victory rampage through the streets at 3.o’clock this morning!

Nothing as yet and I love my telly. Not sure what's on and not keen on many listed above apart from Ghosts and Motherland.

Oh and Call the Midwife but I've not enjoyed the last couple of series.

I've just read through my Radio Times.

So excited by the Detectorists Xmas special.

But highly annoyed they've scheduled the Motherland Xmas special and the All Creatures Great and Small special in the same evening.

Yes I know I can watch on catch up! Not the same though!

Oooh forgot about All Creatures! Can’t wait for that one.
