It was a hard watch at times. Very hard.
I ended it in happy/sad tears.
A world I can't imagine.

I should add that it is wonderful. The young women in the lead roles were amazing.

I agree, it was a brilliantly made film, and the two lead actresses were fantastic. Incredible story and definitely worth a watch.

So hard to watch

The entire film made me contemplate how awful everything is and really how lucky we are (at the moment) - so many wars.

Just watched this. One if the best films I've watched in ages. The thing that stuck with me was walking through the discarded life jackets on the beach. Very poignant.

Yes, the scene where they panned out on the sea of life jackets was so powerful.

The RL swimmers did some body doubling for the actors playing them. And they really did swim for 3 hours in the dark to help keep the boat afloat for the other refugees.

Slightly too much ‘artistic’ bubbles in the water filming, but a really good film.
