As much as I think MH was v good in all his trials, the poverty story of the family “almost” not getting a cheque was hardly living in poverty, he says it then arrived at the end of the week so presumably they breathed a sigh of relief and carried on with a comfortable life, hardly a tale of struggling finances.

BG was a right pain, with his name dropping glad he went pity he didn’t take CM with him, CM face when they said it could be you!
He couldn’t believe that he’s not popular, must have been a big fall from grace when he had to leave his radio show, he doesn’t come over well think he could be a complex character and not in a nice way.

He said they had the worry of bailiffs at the door and what would happen if the cheque didn't come.

I couldn't work out if they were struggling before that - sounds like bills weren't being paid but agree it doesn't sound like poverty was very long term in a lifestyle way though.

I won't miss BG, I didn't find him interesting. I found him boring and self absorbed. ITV were showing so much of him, I'm glad it's backfired on them. I liked Owen but he's really pissing me off now with all this hunger rubbish. How old is he? He's acting like a spoilt child.

I find it hugely amusing that celebs are leaving before MH. The shame of it.

They replaced him with Nick Grimshaw, they wanted someone more young and hip, it was a huge story when it happened and Nick got loads of hate over it.

He attended a fee paying public school. At 14, and with dyslexia, I would imagine listening in to adult convo/not fully informed he'd be worried...I would have been at that age.

Matt only told the story though because gobby Seann sarcastically said about bailiffs to him and Matt answered him, Seann just seems to say bizarre things out of the blue

Just as an aside on the Matt/poverty situation.

many posters have said he went to private school, so family couldn’t be poor etc. I went to private school. On a full scholarship. Bursary paid for uniform etc.

during my time at school, my family were in extreme poverty, and for roughly half my time there were we homeless and in emergency accommodation (utterly inadequate, with no heating, mould everywhere, and a key meter for electric that frequently ran out - not many teachers believed me initially when I said I couldn’t complete homework as had no electricity!)

it is possible to be 14, and have had a reasonably comfortable life and then plunged into all sorts of difficulties. I expect it wasn’t an easy time for his family.
