Motherland filming locations

My dd and I am motherland obsessed and want to go and see where it was filmed mainly the school and cafe and ranolph road (lee mead) or his house any ideas where it was filmed ??!

I absolutely love Motherland!!!! I wish they'd make more seasons Google says Acton and Ealing so I'm guessing that's right 🤷‍♀️

I was watching it today and Avenue Gardens road sign flashed up. We lived there in Acton in the late 80s/early 90s. Hope it was the same one, looked like it!

The cafe is called Korta and Amanda’s shop is around the corner, from here. Both are Muswell Hill/Alexandra Palace, North London.😁

The school is Southfield Primary School in Acton. Amanda and her mum also visit the lovely locally run Acton restaurant Fed & Watered. Highly recommend !

I was soo obsessed with Motherland when I first came across it too! I loved the cafe in the first season so went on a mad hunt for - eventually found out it's actually a Thai Restaurant in Chiswick (see pic attached does it look familiar from the outside?).

I checked on google street view, it's always been a Thai restaurant so I think the series rented it for a few days and changed the interior so it's never actually need a cafe in real life.

Friendly acquaintance’s house was used as Kevin’s house… unfortunately wasn’t featured in the last series! She’s in Ealing and it’s all filmed around there x

The cafe and Amanda's shop are in Alexandra Park in North London. I used to walk past and see them filming. I think the cafe isn't actually a cafe in real life, it was some other sort of shop they dressed up for the programme.

I thought part of it is filmed on Churchfield Road in W3 Acton. Not sure what - but ut was in the local W3 news

I live in Ealing so would see them filming around back in the day.

They filmed a new Christmas special for 2022 which is on iPlayer, but I don't think they've got any plans to come back with a series - wish they did though!

Terrible picture but this is the cafe where Amanda goes to meet Johnny then hides because he is with his new girlfriend. I recognised it as soon as I saw it. This is Choswick (so near Action amd Ealing)
