Wow - I used to watch it at lunchtimes when our teachers were on strike in 1985!

If it's not in that 5-year period which coincided with my sixth-form and university - we are talking Plain Jane Superbrain, Mike's Uni mates, Scott skateboarding to work, Bouncer, Mrs Mangel and the chimney, Paul and Gail, Madge/Harold, and Daphne giving birth through her dungarees - then I don't have a clue what anyone is wittering on about with "Neighbours".

It's funny how something which was such a bitg part of your life for a while can now just be a total irrelevance!

i was sadly wondering the other day what happened to the actress who played Jane.

ah... Daphne's miracle dungaree birth, I remember it well

And, apparently (heard this on the radio the other day) the actress that played Mrs. Mangel was born just down the road from where I am now

I have to admit to watching this from the very start of the series and even videoing when not in (in the past).
