He is a successful Welsh actor and singer. As a Welsh lass with a big history of singing in my family, I shall respectfully beg to disagree that he did not murder Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

I liked it a lot, and still love the S & G version ( and even the Hear'say version!).
He is also in Nine Perfect Strangers, and been in at least one horror flm that i can think of.
He was on Radio 4 yesterday morning, and did a rendition of one verse of a Welsh song with the briefest encouragement. I don't know the song, but it really suited his voice and was pitch perfect.
(Obviously his upcoming album and films were mentioned....)

NeverOneBiscuit · 06/11/2022 19:56

Probably fair, but I LOVED Ellie, and Nikita.

IReallyLikeCrows · 06/11/2022 19:56

I knew the result so kept schtum but I didn't know if it was unanimous or not and I'm really surprised that it was.

Mogloveseggs · 06/11/2022 19:56

Ellie should have stayed imo. Much better at the performance side which makes her so much more enjoyable to watch.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/11/2022 19:56

My summary: Ellie is an inspiration, Mollie is forgettable .

PurplePositivity · 06/11/2022 19:56

Gutted, Elllie is fab Glitterball

Mrsjayy · 06/11/2022 19:56

Aww that's a shame I like Ellie and Nakitta he's really shown his personality this year.

ChessieFL · 06/11/2022 19:56

Disappointed with that, I liked Ellie and her partnership with Nikita.

Firesideassembly · 06/11/2022 19:56

Oooh noooooo! I much preferred Ellie's dance!

SauvignonBlanche · 06/11/2022 19:56

That’s not fair - I’m not happy!

Piggywaspushed · 06/11/2022 19:56

If anyone hasn't seen Ellie's documentary please do watch. She is a great presenter and it is very eye opening.

DuncanBiscuits · 06/11/2022 19:56

That’s a real shame.

Wolfcub · 06/11/2022 19:57

Oh god they are making me cry

GrouchyKiwi · 06/11/2022 19:57

Fucksake Nikita. I don't need to be crying right now.

I will do. Didn't know she had done a documentary

Benjispruce4 · 06/11/2022 19:57

That was nice from Nikita.

Agree.

DuncanBiscuits · 06/11/2022 19:57

I bet Mollie feels crap. Nobody would want to be the one to beat her in the dance off. She’s so fab.

woodhill · 06/11/2022 19:57

Strictly is definitely moving further away from ballroom and morphing in to Summertime special/ Seaside special ( for those who remember 70s Sat eve telly. Bollywood ( yes it was nice but it's not ballroom), couples' choice and ballroom dances that resemble ballroom dances less and less

I remember seaside specialWink

Agree and I wasn't an Ellie S voter

Stupidity in the scoring has caused this.

NoraEphronsNeck · 06/11/2022 19:58

LoveMyPiano he sang Calon Lan.

lipstickwoman · 06/11/2022 19:58

Ellie seems such a lovely woman. She could teach us all so much

dameofdilemma · 06/11/2022 19:58

Contestants like Molly rarely win over the public as they have too much recent dance experience. Shes barely out of stage school and hasn't the common sense not to remind everyone of that in her VTs. It's nothing to do with her age or gender.

Personally I like the non entertainer types as I think it's harder for them to lose their inhibitions on the stage and it's a bigger leap.
Bonus points if they aren't from a privileged background.
