GHOSTS - things I must know! [spoilers! probably]

I am between jobs and half term is over so I have just binged all four series and I neeeeeed to know things!

Does Alison ever find out it was Julian who pushed her out the window?

How did the Captain die? Why is he in dress uniform but not wearing a hat? Why is he holding a stick? Is it another nod to Blackadder Goes Forth when Lt. George says he "wouldn't want to face a machine gun without this" (see also referring to Captain as a smelly old walrus)

Did Kitty's sister do away with her? Or did she catch something? She gets very distressed at the thought of something being contagious.

I want to see what would happen if Mike and Alison went on holiday and they got a house sitter. Also if Alison met other ghosts whilst away. Or met someone else who could also see and talk to ghosts (she can't be the only one, surely?

I am currently very over invested in this!

Sorry - I realise that none of my questions have been answered in the series, they are things I wish the writers would tell us (ideally in another series. Or four.)

Julian didn't push her out of the window, he couldn't he can just about move a mug one inch. She was leaning out with her feet off the floor and fell out.

No, he pushed her! There is a whole scene of the other ghosts telling him off for it. It was even a question on Mastermind.

You should listen to the Ghosts podcast on BBC Sounds. They ask how the Captain died (and his name) but no clues are given, I'm afraid.

She can see other ghosts - there is an episode where they are looking for a new house (can't remember if series 1 or so) and she keeps seeing other ghosts everywhere

DD was at comic con today, and met the captain, including a selfie. Not quite sure she is aware how jealous her mother is !!!
