Why did they kill Faith off in Emmerdale?

I liked the character. I didn’t really see what the point was in killing her off?

did the writers just not have anymore storylines for her?

I'm glad as I didn't like the character, and thought she regularly over acted. Maybe she wanted to leave?

No idea but they could have wrote her out and left the door open.

Because it's the 50th anniversary and they wanted a big storyline.

Maybe the actor wanted to leave to do other things.

I think Sally did her best acting throughout this Faith dying story. Her scenes with Cain were just truly amazing and loved their whole dysfunctional relationship come good. This could only be done through Faith dying I think, having such a huge impact on people, so unfortunately we had to lose Faith to be able to get such a brilliant story. I cried bucket loads whenever Faith and Cain had scenes together.
