YEY. just seen the new season is starting 23 October. I binge watched the others earlier in the month so can’t wait for it to start again. The ending was a shocker that I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait to see where they’re taking it. Will serena joy get let go because she was under his orders AND she’s having a baby. Or will she get put into jail and baby taken away when he’s born.

Apologies I had no intention of spoiling anything. We already know from the show that Hannah is now known as Agnes. I was just reiterating that but point noted 🤐

There is a thread that is at UK pace for the tv series but for those that have read The Testaments. It's a bit quiet though.

I agree. It was a good book but quite easy reading compared with THT.

How do you think this series ends? Luke and June really want Hannah back but I suspect that, given the choice, Hannah would refuse to go.

She’s spent half her life being told that she’s been rescued from sinful parents, she can’t read and she loves her Gilead parents.

Yes, I’m not convinced she’d adjust to being back with June and Luke, even with a lot of counselling.

Re Hannah…I feel like June has engaged with her twice since being captured. The time at the house (I can’t remember when or why she was there…maybe a Martha snuck her in or something?) and Hannah seemed to remember her warmly then.

Then last season when she was in the glass cage and looked terrified of her (or maybe the situation). She will have been brainwashed by the Mackenzie’s who seem hardcore so there would be a lot of unravelling to do. Remember the season after the angels flight, a lot of the kids were struggling to adjust to life in Canada. It wouldn’t be easy and I think the storyline is almost setting us up to see that…there is no way they are getting Hannah back this season…I’d be surprised if they did next season.

For some reason I thought this season was confirmed as the final, is this not the case?

I’m hoping for another season of opportunities to see glorious Nick 😁 This season is definitely lacking in Nick for me (and I didn’t love the Putnam shooting scene although I love that Putnam got his comeuppance)

Oh really? What is it you like about him? I find him a dull and unpleasant character.

I feel like despite his quiet and aloof/grumpy exterior, he’s all emotion underneath…grappling with doing things he doesn’t want to do to stay alive and fighting the cause from within. Even when he was an Eye, he was quietly supporting mayday. I think he really loves June and I love June and him together better than Luke and June.
Oh and I have a celebrity crush <shallow 😁>

I'd like series 6 to be all our faves working together, but separately, to bring Gilead down. Alternatively a brilliant, but bleak ending would be for the last few minutes of the last ever episode to show Canada going full Gilead ...

Hannah might feel differently though when the choice isn't staying with her new parents, but being married off to some old commander.

I don't get the chemistry between himself and June.
