George and Mildred

Who else remembers George and Mildred? Like watching the re runs on ITV 3. Man about the house was okay.
Only thing is I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for; George for constantly being hen pecked or Mildred for putting up with her lazy husband.

I loved Man About the House as a kid - god only knows how or why I started watching it!

Never took to George and Mildred as much but I felt sorry for Mildred.
Yootha Joyce has amazing comic timing.

I remember it, might have to check it out again. I thought Yootha Joyce was incredibly glamorous - the epitome of 70s chic! There's a pic of her wearing banana trousers which I'll try to add. Amazing!

George must have looked old at the time. When the actor who played him, Brian Murphy, appeared in The Booze Cruise and Last of the Summer Wine years later he looked exactly the same to me!

Bit of trivia- a few years back I was a London bus driver, in the suburbs.
The actor who played George would get often get on my bus route. Probably in his 80s by now.

I remember the re-runs as a child and also thought Mildred very glamorous! Hahaha.
