I can only see three episodes on the iPlayer, but I'm sure originally there was something like 8–10. Are they now showing the whole thing, does anyone know? I was looking forward to this as it passed me by the first time round.

Ok, I can see why they only have 3 up, the whole thing is on Britbox which is part owned by BBC so their way of making a bit of money out of it. I think I might wait for when I've got some free time coming up and sign up for the free britbox 7 day trial!

You mean it isn't/won't be fully available for free on iPlayer? That's weird. I thought it was part of the '100 years of the BBC' thing (they've also been putting things like The Buddha of Suburbia and Boys From the Blackstuff back on). Why would they only want to show a few episodes? I mean, I get the financial side of it, but it might just create bad feeling if they just have a few on iPlayer.
But thanks for the heads-up about the free trial; I'm going to look into that too!

Such a great series. Was also on radio 4 as a play, in fact was it based on a play originally? Could have been as another episode was written based after the tv series finished.

I really remember watching this first time round- I would have been 13! Rewatching now and it's still good. It's got some mega names in it!

Just searched for it on the Sky box and it looks like 9 episodes are available there 'on demand' so maybe no need to wait if you haven't got BritBox

I don't think it was based on a play, no; the Radio 4 play came later.
