Everyone on here raves about this programme! I am now half way through series 3. There are just so many of them!! I mean, I do like it...but does it get better??

I love it. I guess you have to kind of think of it as a soap, rather than a series? If that makes sense

Darkness22 · 17/09/2022 19:52

Yes, I think watching so many in a row is just too much.

ThorsBedazzler · 17/09/2022 19:53

No. But it basically gains control of your soul and before you know it you're knee deep in series 12 and wondering how hard it would be to do an appendectomy.

Darkness22 · 17/09/2022 19:56

😂
I'm already worried that I'm wasting my life on it!!!

It's ok until about season 13. The Resident is much better

PeloFondo · 17/09/2022 20:36

I watch
Greys
The resident
New Amsterdam
Chicago med
Chicago fire
911
911 lone star

I gave up after some pretty key characters left ( no spoilers). I think it was end of Series 9 or 10.

minipie · 17/09/2022 20:46

No it gets worse. I’d say it goes downhill after about season 9. If you don’t love the first few seasons you’re not going to love it later.

MummytoCSJH · 17/09/2022 20:46

It gets better and then worse!

HardLanding · 17/09/2022 20:46

I loved it until around S9; I begrudgingly continued to watch it but the last two seasons have been so fucking awful that I think I’ve only watched around 10 episodes.

GlitchStitch · 17/09/2022 20:51

Season 5/6 are the best I think. Its crap after season 10 IMO.

This is accurate. Did the show die for me when Christina left? Yes? Am i still watching watching the new season not interested in 99% of characters but still wondering what a Wipple(??) is... also yes

Blix · 17/09/2022 21:29

I loved it up to around s7.
But I watched one episode a week, no bingeing.

Ridley10 · 17/09/2022 21:31

I love Greys anatomy but the later series’ really suck. From about series 10 onwards it’s not nearly as good. I wouldn’t watch so many in a row and some of the earlier ones feel a bit dated but I love it. I’ve watched it through so many times.

Darkness22 · 18/09/2022 06:21

Did the show die for me when Christina left? Yes?

Like I said, I'm on season 3 so that's a spoiler.

It goes downhill in the middle seasons then better again!

Myshitisreal · 18/09/2022 06:40

I was totally hooked obsessed.. Came home from a holiday (in May) with covid and isolated /spent 7 days watching it from dawn till dusk.. Can't even look at it since 😭

QuebecBagnet · 18/09/2022 06:46

It’s easy watching, very unrealistic fluff. It doesn’t get better. Don’t get me wrong, I watched 16 seasons and enjoyed most of them, getting weaker as they progress though. But no, don’t expect it to change.

JustDanceAddict · 18/09/2022 07:21

I watched it in lockdown til about season 7/8 maybe then gave up 😆

Ameadowwalk · 18/09/2022 07:32

I am on season 17 now. It gets dreadful. I am not sure why I am still watching it. I agree with the poster who said it is more like a soap than a drama. There was one particularly dark episode where they managed to intertwine 9/11 and covid with a completely implausible storyline. One among many implausible storylines. Plus, quite why they hammered home the point in the dialogue that black people were more likely to die of covid than white people and then it was their main white character who was in bed for weeks and on a vent is anybody’s guess. In fact, Koracick who was also sick is another white character and then another one (in the episode I just watched) who got a double lung transplant was also white. Like they were making one valid point in the dialogue and then completely ignoring it in how they dramatised covid.
There’s not so much moralising about social problems in the early seasons.
I do like Koracick, though, he needs a happy ending.

ExcaliburBaby · 18/09/2022 07:38

I love Greys but found Season 4 (and I think 16 maybe) absolute slog and really had to force myself to stick with it. I do love it though and there’s always enough characters I like watching to keep me with it!

Darkness22 · 18/09/2022 07:40

Thanks everyone! I'm going to stop watching 😁. I thought I was missing out!

OP posts:
bob78 · 18/09/2022 07:50

If you don't like it by season 3, you don't like it. Walk away!

KILM · 18/09/2022 09:08

Sorry, that did happen 8 years ago so i didnt think i needed to be careful about a spoiler from so long ago but i know how annoying it is so apologies!

CornishGem1975 · 18/09/2022 09:10

I'm on Season 4 and love it. McDreamy is a gaslighting knobhead though. He can get in the bin. I'd agree with a PP, if you're on Season 3 and don't like it, just give up - there's so many other things to watch!
