I've had to go back and watch last night's before I could watch tonight's episode. I was half watching this thread and the TV and it deserves a proper no interruption watch. I've already cried a river because I watched the first two minutes of tonight's before realising I needed to rewatch.

That lot probably makes no sense, but I know what I mean 😢

I didn't think they'd show Faith still lying in the bed tbh. But I know why they did. DH was home tonight and when it was on he left the room.

It was a hard watch. I'm not sure I should have watched it really.

I've only just finished watching last night and tonight's episodes. My Tv kept buffering and I had to restart it three times. I spent the whole evening weeping, for fictional Faith and for my mum and my aunt, both in their eighties and who are likely to die alone. I've been been weeping for them and for me, because, like Cain, I did not like my mum, I'm learning to love her now she's so lost (dementia) but all in all, I just needed to have a bloody big weep. Sometimes, something triggers a cathartic outpouring and hats off to Emmerdale, they've given me the opportunity to let it all out and start again tomorrow with a new commitment to try to create some joy for my two closest family members who are alone and need a bit of joy.

Sorry for the outpouring there folks, I just needed to get it all out so I can get on. Im glad Emmerdale won any awards they got (I hate awards ceremonies) they deserve another for this week.

@Mxflamingnoravera take care 😘 I think Emmerdale has triggered a lot of people this week with its incredibly moving scenes.

Faiths end of life scenes were very close to home with my mum dying two weeks ago. Beautifully done though.

@Mxflamingnoravera your post struck a chord with me.

It would seem that Faith’s (a fictional character’s) death has brought feelings to the fore for many people as they look at their own lives.

I just watched Cain with Faith again, tender, raw, beautiful. Her face when he said he loved her.
