I couldn't see an existing thread on this, apologies if there is and I missed it.

Anyway, as it says in the thread title. New series starts tonight.

Yay!

DH just had to suffer my little rant and now I'm typing it here too.

Signature - no baked element.
Technical - only baked element is the cone.

Why have they made it custard week when the custard is nothing to do with any baking parts?! That is if they're including any baking in it at all!

I expect I'll get my soapbox out again when I hear what the showstopper is.

Lots of baking things they could do. Custard tarts of various flavours. Spin on custard cream biscuits. Quiche if you want a savoury bake. Some sort of cake with custard filling e.g. rhubarb and custard cake.

And didn't know good ice cream is made with custard.
