better things ( spoiler alert)

just saw the last episode.
not sure what to think.
did she have or knew she had cancer? the abnormal bleeding?
was it a suicide driving into the traffic?
or was it just an ending with possibllities not known to us ( the viewers?)

I absolutely loved that show and none of those things occurred to me! The heavy bleeding was just normal menopause stuff. No way was she commiting suicide. She just realised her kids had grown up, she didn’t need the big house anymore, life was changing, and she went for a little drive to be alone with her thoughts away from the party.

I absolutely cried and cried at the ending as I thought it was beautiful & I rarely cry at TV shows!

that show has just spoken to me so much over the last 6 years; I thought I’d be really upset when it ended but I thought some of it was a bit daft/self indulgent - loved the way they gave in entirely to the cockerney stereotype British thing at the end v Dick van Dyke but nonetheless Better Things was special.

Yep. A really very rare & special show.
