but we don't all have people on hand to set put plates, ingredients etc. Would be interested to hear from anyone who did cook along and whether the timings worked - came in at the end of the starter so missed the firts chunk of preparation.

I loved it
didn't cook along though

wonder if any mners did

finknottle · 19/01/2008 09:51

I found it exhausting to watch - could never have cooked as well.
All that bouncing back and forth
"come on, keep up with me, now, yes, come on, keep up.."
And the distorted webcam bits Might have worked if you could actually have seen what they were doing. Did I see a naked woman and what was all that about?

Made me dizzy - and I was only watching in the ad breaks from Dorothy Sayers "Have His Carcass" over on ITV3

libEL · 19/01/2008 09:55

I watched it but found everything other than Chris Moyles funny.

And yes, why was that woman naked? Just as well webcams were so distorted!

it was crap unwatchable and the camera work was some of the worst i have ever seen i switched off after opart one tho dd turned back a couple of times

it was terrible television

tedious pointless badly produced and indigestible and boring

It was weird - GR started going about her "shaving her minge"
Must say, never took to him but dizziness and rubbish webcam transmissions aside, I'd give him 10/10 for effort.
Still, I was relieved to switch back to the sedate Dorothy L Sayers...

Yes I cooked and it was fun. Very hectic, and I needed DP to keep up with what was going on for me, but we both enjoyed it.

The food was delicious, the way he cooked steak is not how I would normally do it but I am a convert. Timngs were fine and there was ample time to eat the food.

It helped having the instructions at the side, as during lulls I could do things in advance, and I'd done some of the chopping before the programme started.

Would definitely do it again.

wow cool
You actually did it, wel done
I loved thewhole program, thought it was fab

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 10:22

why did they show a zillion trailers in the week and neveronce tell you what ingredients you might need if you did want to do it...

biganddesperate · 19/01/2008 10:24

i watched but didnt cook......

to late to be cooking

happychappy · 19/01/2008 10:26

sounds cool, shame I can't watch. Maybe in 4 years

Sunshinemummy · 19/01/2008 10:37

Ingredients and instructions were all on line on the Channel 4 website.

TBH I didn't notice the dodgy camera work as was too busy.
