Last night’s episode was so bad that I had to mute it at several points.
The director finding Wendy irresistible? Wendy alluding to their very obvious age gap, yet not mentioning the very obvious age gap between her and Ken?
It wasn’t as noticeable years back, but Roberta Kerr is 70 and Bill Roache is 90, it’s noticeable now.
As for the theatrical nonsense (no not Corrie, the play Ken was doing) - I felt sorry for the actors who play Mary and Brian.
Did anyone not immediately think Stu’s wife dunnit? She is such an obvious villain and there is noonelse available to blame anyway. She confirmed it herself (I think it was on Monday) when she told the daughter to be careful what she says because "I'm not going to prison for this now". As Deedee said, the police will not accept DNA obtained illegally, so I assume it will be resolved via a showdown int'Rovers when the DNA results arrive.
At least James has gone. I used to like Aggie but they’ve turned her into a mayor annoyance. She is clearly lying to Ed because she fancies Tim. So far I like Deedee but they will doubtless find a way to ruin her.
But possibly the worst scenes were Holy Billy, the Bishop and the brownies.
It looks like they are warming up for Todd getting back together with Billy. Poor Todd, he deserves so much better.
