That job in Canada he didn't go to was made up so jenny thinks he gave it up because he loves her. Its all very stressful.

Why God Why did Summer and the tall boy miss their flights? 😡

More's the pity

Did Todd Nick the passport

EachandEveryone · 19/08/2022 23:29

is Amy going off to uni? Please god let someone go and better themselves.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 20/08/2022 09:32

Craig is the worst policeman ever. Why is he going around digging for Zeedan? Between that, planning a full premature menopause diet plan and eating cakes with that one who used to be Michelle in Doctors, fuck knows when he does any policing.

Am I missing something, or is it a bit weird that everyone is encouraging Audrey to reopen the salon? Would anyone really want to be on their feet all day at 82? Would you want your shampoo and set done by an octogenarian with a drink problem who’d had cataracts?

I wonder if we’re going to get some kind of ‘cycle of abuse’ storyline with Summer and the giant mechanic. He seems to lash out at her every time his dad lashes out at him.

Also, I’ve said it before, but why is everyone wearing such dark heavy clothing in August?! Fay and Craig were strutting about head to toe in black, complete with heavy jackets, yesterday - in real life I was still sweltering in shorts and a vest top! I know it’s filmed in advance, but it can’t be a big leap of faith for the wardrobe department to think ‘Hang on; it might be hot when this episode airs in August…’

It's odd that Yasmeen's style of acting so suited the Geoff storyline but now grates so badly.

Did it though? Everyone raved about her performance but I still thought she was wooden.

I never liked her performances with Geoff either. Although the gibbering was appropriate. He was so good at his role it took the focus off Yasmeen.

riserved · 20/08/2022 10:15

Nice to see Amy last night, a breath of fresh air after watching yet another angst ridden Summer scene. Was she really planning to have a bath with the boyfriend?

Theblacksheepandme · 20/08/2022 10:20

Deadringer
I reckon Stu's wife caught him and his girlfriend in bed and murdered her in a rage. Stu was so wracked with guilt about the affair that he took the blame. Or something.

I was thinking similar but that Stu's wife was having an affair with the detective that got Stu locked up. The wife murdered her and the detective made sure Stu got sent down instead of Stu's wife. That's why the wife cut all contact and is determined to tell everyone Stu is guilty.

FeltCarrot · 20/08/2022 10:34

I missed Amy’s a level results, although I suspect all the teens will either be going to Weatherfield Uni or work in the knicker factory.
Did Asha and Aldi do their A levels this year? They were aged up a while ago so I’m always a bit confused at to which school year they were in.

JellyBeanFactory · 20/08/2022 10:51

Who do we think Aaron's dad is?

Could be the detective Lennox? Got to be something to do with Stu I'd have thought. Unless it's one of the baddies that Kelly/Garry have been messing with. Can't think of anyone else off screen or new that's talked about (not Spider, surely?)

Amy's off to do business at Manchester I think she said. Think she got ABB

PuttingOnMyBestBra · 20/08/2022 11:12

I watched the omnibus this morning, still can’t tell you what happened
it’s just not holding my attention at all anymore

That sounds better Blacksheep

I wish Stephen, and whoever is writing this, and the massive brown envelope of bank trusts paperwork would just disappear into the canal and sink without trace forever. This is Audrey in Weatherfield for god's sake, widow of grocer Alf Roberts, not Miss Ellie Ewing in Dallas.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 20/08/2022 12:14

It will be somewhat depressing if both Stephen AND Spider turn out to be up to no good. What next - Emily comes back to systematically psychologically destroy Rita in revenge for that time they had a row about who made the best Christmas dinner?

I think Aadi and Asha are a year younger than Amy and Summer? But yes also think they were aged up at some point

ToffeeNotCoffee · 20/08/2022 18:42

That job in Canada he didn't go to was made up so jenny thinks he gave it up because he loves her.

It hasn't been stated but several people on here, including me, think that's what happened.

He just disappeared into the back room of the pub to make the phone call then reappeared two minutes later to say he had now withdrawn his acceptance of the job offer. All very quick and convenient regarding a job he really wanted apparently. All for a relationship with Jenny of not very many weeks.

FilePhoto · 20/08/2022 20:06

Aadi and Asha were born in Jan 2006, so they should have just done their GCSEs.

RainydaysandFridays · 20/08/2022 20:10

Yasmeen’s over dramatic shrieking is really getting on my nerves. It’s every single line.

FlibbertyGibbitt · 20/08/2022 21:44

I’m finding the whole storylines of Summer, Yasmine and Toyah and spider really boring. Said it before I much prefer Classic Corrie !

PrincessScarlett · 20/08/2022 21:54

How many times is Aaron going to dump Summer? I've lost count already. Such a toxic relationship of I'll hide your abuse if you hide my self harming 🙄

NCTDN · 20/08/2022 23:37

Why did Steve buy a bottle of Prosecco from the rovers rather than the corner shop?

lollipoprainbow · 21/08/2022 06:54

Really dull at the moment!

Jenny and her gormless boyfriend, get her a proper man.

Drippy Summer and her boring diabetes storyline

Screeching wooden Yasmine

Slimy Stephen

Faye and Craig

Why is the Bistro always booked as a 'treat' !! ?

But surely if the wife did it she wouldn't have turned up all guns blazing?
