The umbrella academy - season 3 SPOILERS

I know there is another thread, but it doesn't specify spoilers so didn't want to risk it.

What did people think of the ending? I think it's going to get cancelled now annoyingly, even though the person writing/directing said he thinks one more season will do. But Netflix are gits and it may not have had high ratings because it came out around the same time as stranger things so think that won't help it either.

I liked all of it except the ending, it was a bit shit. Losing their powers was odd and where did Sloane go?!

Loved the dancing scene though, so bloody funny. 😂And I quite liked Allison's change in character, she was needing to explode at some point. Think any mother would after what she's gone through.

I think Sloane disappeared because they were back in the universe where she'd never existed? Though I confess, my grip of the logic was not really hanging on by the end! I did really enjoy it though, I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

I enjoyed it but I think the whole alternate universe thing was a bit silly. I know its about superpowers and time travel etc but it can go too far!

Also I think too much was unexplained. What were those guardian things and why? What the hell was Christopher? Where were these other superpower kids in the original time line? Why did Raymond and Clare reappear in the same time and why didn't Alison regenerate with the rest of them? If Reg always needed 7 powered kids to stand on the stars, why not adopt 9 or 10 in case they didn't all make it (fairly likely!) Why did Five start the comission and if he is in charge, why didn't he stop those guys last season trying to assassinate him?

I liked the character stuff especially Klaus and Five. As always I'm amazed by the actor who plays Five, he is phenomenal. I enjoyed the wedding episode and was surprisingly OK with Sloane/Luther romance.

We are watching this now as we speak and I haven't got a clue what's going on this season - I just can't gel with it.

I think Allison and their Dad clearly influenced the new universe - Dad got his wife back and Allison got her DD and her husband from past - and I think Allison got rid of Sloane as she didn't like her being with her brother who she is used to moping after her.

I was a big confused by Ben at end in underground - looking like where original Ben was born - was that the Sparrow Ben or Ben from that timeline - and not sure why scene was there.

The powers came from the spores things - end of one of previous series from alien like planet spores going into air and caused them be to be born - and computer they went into took the spores and thus their powers out - which all leads to many more questions.

I think there could be a good series when they have no powers - some want them back some not - does Allision still have her powers who the hell is their Dad - no idea if it will happen though.

But then why did they still have twatty Ben? Wouldn't they have got back nice Ben? And really didn't Sloane still exist but she wasn't 'bought' by the dad, as there was like 40+ women that gave birth instantly across the world.

Is the dad an alien too? When Allison killed him, he was leaking green stuff, so what is he?

Yes the Dad is an alien, I am pretty sure this has been confirmed a few times.

I found this season really hard going and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't renewed. The whole premise was too reset to a universe where his wife didn't die, he's done that and it does tie up the last three seasons I suppose.

I hated every second of what they did to Allison this season, though I did like Klaus finally discovering his powers even if it was a bit of a Misfits moment.
It's taken me to today to get through it, where every other season I've binged in the first two days.

Twatty Ben was actually Ben 1 - but not dead anymore (at least that is my theory )

Makes sense as he wouldn't be dead in that timeline either, but then surely 5 would have aged?
