Is it me or is she very shaky , when she speaks her head does a lot of moving . Interesting watch though as we don't see much of her

Yes. She does look shaky.

I was also a bit surprised at some of the comments. For example the comments about her great grandmother being the king’s favorite mistress.

bit poor taste in the circumstances

hellosally · 13/07/2022 22:37

yes I watched it- thought she came across as a very easy to talk to,relatable person. I've always been struck by her passion for supporting domestic abuse and wonder if she has some kind of personal experience of someone being a victim

Oh, that Keppel thing is constantly repeated. Apparently its how she introduced herself to Charles, eons ago.

I like her (as much as I like any of them).

sleepyhoglet · 13/07/2022 22:47

What is this on please?

MrsOwainGlyndŵr · 13/07/2022 22:54

She seemed very nice I thought.

Yes , she seems very gracious , it must be so hard constantly meeting new people and small talk but she takes it in her stride

I enjoyed the programme and liked how they showed what was behind her selections for Country Life. I must admit to feeling a little bit ahem when they described how her first marriage and Charles first marriage broke down so they got together. That's quite some gloss but fair enough...that was not the focus of the programme.
I loved the dogs in pearls!

KatharineofAragon · 14/07/2022 01:48

I switched it off half way through. It felt like a slick PR exercise to me. She is relatable and down to earth , but I felt it was all designed to get Joe Public to like her.
OH thought she might have the beginnings of Parkinson’s. Thinking how the Queen was twenty years ago, she seems much older. I can’t see her being very sprightly in ten years time. We will have two elderly people doddering around as King and Queen.

She obviously does a lot and is very good with people, but her energy levels are going to fall off quite steeply in the next ten years.

Iflyaway · 14/07/2022 02:03

Agree with the doddery bit...

Yes, she seems gracious - and I'm amazed she's come through the vile shit having been thrown at her publicly as tbe "scarlet woman" .
I would not have survived that I don't think.

Yes, i have been pleasantly surprised to see her advocate for abused women, having been through it myself.

Is the documentary on Youtube? (Not in UK).

lollipoprainbow · 14/07/2022 07:27

She was shaky and anxious looking at many of the queens jubilee celebrations.

notanotheroneagain · 14/07/2022 11:34

I did not watch it.
Tired of the promotion around it, no snarky remarks about a crew skulking around with hidden mikes or why she is guest editing a magazine as a royal.

They are really trying to shove her down our throats.

A bit different when one is a sanctioned programme about a working member of the RF , everyone knows what’s going on. No recording on the sly . The other for pure personal gain, using status as RF members when not working for them or even living in the same country. Hidden recording devices etc.

I don’t think anyone objected to the Vogue piece. I didn’t like it, but it’s personal opinion.

notanotheroneagain · 14/07/2022 17:30

Every media person objected to the Vogue cover.

The recordings were to highlight Invicticus, which is a good cause. No recordings on the sly, btw. No recording of royals on the sly that I ever heard of. What are you making up now.

I think we're always going to have an elderly king and queen now. It's likely William will be 60ish before he takes the throne, and if he lives to 80, George will be 50 ish by then.

I don’t think anyone knows what they have been recording. The Netflix offering hasn’t been released yet.

notanotheroneagain · 14/07/2022 20:20

We do, The CEO of invicticus announced it.

UmbrellaTerm · 14/07/2022 20:23

She seems like a nice woman, laid back and personable. From a different world, though. Totally out of touch. ‘In the 1950s, of course, you could ride around on your pony’. Sure, that’s what we all did…

RoseOud · 14/07/2022 20:34

I thought she appeared a little bit frail.

I know she supports a charity for osteoporosis, because her mum had it. Maybe she has it too? I've no idea how it affects you, though.

I like her. She seems very natural and down to earth.

Announced what?

Romeiswheretheheartis · 14/07/2022 22:17

She does seem very personable - but I can't really get beyond her being a big fan of hunting, so I don't think she and I would get along.....

She’s always been shaky since being in the public eye. I think she gets very nervous.

KatharineofAragon · 15/07/2022 19:08

I was a bit irritated with the childhood home stuff. She is obviously virtually landed gentry. What did it have to do with her work?
Also why do so many rich people from this background seem fixated on their childhoods?

Yes I think nerves as well.

I thought the head nodding was to appear interested/ as if you are listening.

I thought the (her?) idea behind the edition was good-you never really know what is going on.

lollipoprainbow · 16/07/2022 13:37

She's so posh she can hardly speak I had to put subtitles on, found the bit walking around her massive grandparents house a bit nauseating with all the fawning, bowing and scraping !!

I honk it’s nerves more than being too posh she can hardly speak.
