Sports-themed dramas (like Kingdom or Friday Night Lights)

I was looking for dramas like Friday Night Lights as I enjoy dramas focused around sports and by accident I came across Kingdom. Has anyone seen it?! It's free on Prime and is also on Sky. It's a drama series based around MMA and omg it is SO GOOD! It's one of the best drama series I have ever watched. The script and acting is outstanding. It's so realistic and I am absolutely gutted I finished all 3 seasons and it doesn't look like there is a 4th. 😭For anyone who enjoys sports dramas, I cannot recommend it enough. If anyone has see. It, I'm dying to discuss!

But now I am also looking for something similar. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Actually there are many shows with the same title, but the Kingdom I mean is about the Kulina father and sons that own an MMA gym.

This is the one:

I've not seen Kingdom but loved Friday night lights.

Have you seen Glow on Netflix about women wrestlers?

Or Swagger on AppleTV about junior high basketball and all the shenanigans. I really enjoyed it.

Not seen either of those. Will search for them. Swagger was recommended to me by someone else as well.

If you haven't seen "Kingdom" I cannot recommend it enough! It's better than "Friday Night Lights", but more serious. It's honestly one of the best dramas I've ever seen. The acting from the whole cast is out of this world good, but it doesn't shy away from really bad things happening to some of the main characters that ordinarily would be against "Hollywood rules", but it's amazingly realistic.

Winning Time is very good, it's about the LA Lakers in the early 80s. John C. Reilly, Adrien Brody and Jason Segel are the big names in it but everyone is really good.

Oh sounds brilliant, thank you! I will check it out. I love Adrien Brody!

Not fiction, but Freddie Flintoff is doing a programme about cricket. He’s formed a team with a group of lads who’s not played cricket before. There’s only been one episode so far, but it was really good (BBC).
