Did anyone see it this evening? was a really tough watch, such a heartbreakingly sad case.

Yeah just watched, terrible.

MinglingFlamingo · 04/07/2022 22:11

Watching it on channel 4 +1

BlackTourmaline · 04/07/2022 22:15

Yes very disturbing I remember it.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 05/07/2022 09:33

Awful, that poor little lad. His home life was appalling.

Shocking to think he walked to school on his own and home again ... wasn't even reported missing until nearly 6pm in winter .... he was 6 years old!!

I know this was the 90s but that wasn't the norm even then ... my DCs were born only a few years later.

Skinnermarink · 05/07/2022 09:44

Definitely wasn’t the norm. Couldn’t believe it when she makes that call to the police and sounds barely rattled.

Isanyholeagoal · 05/07/2022 09:58

I watched this while my little boy was tucked up in bed. I just can’t imagine anybody ever treating their children like that and being so calm that their 6 year old was missing. That poor little boy was never cared for. Even if she didn’t do it she should be strung up

hattie43 · 05/07/2022 10:21

That woman was vile , poor little boy didn't stand a chance .

LadyR77 · 05/07/2022 12:00

Just horrific. That poor, poor boy.

EvilPea · 05/07/2022 12:02

You can see why the police thought it was her. Every interview (even the recent one) her comments were about her, there was no sadness about her sons death, or what had happened to him. Just her.

that said the blinkers seemed firmly on when they had evidence to the contrary - that’s easy to say with hindsight

Footbal · 05/07/2022 12:04

Poor little boy didn't stand a chance. Yes she didn't murder him but she was a neglectful and abusive mother. Horrendous.
