Loved Wet Leg and St Vincent so far - enjoying Billie Ellish right now.

Been to the festival 5 times and it's great fun but I am enjoying being indoors and comfy and warm and clean - must be getting old!

@Punkypinky we have just watched Supergrass on iPlayer so it's definitely on there

Found it, got it on now while packing for holiday tomorrow- happy days 😊. Don't know how I missed it yesterday 🤦‍♀️

Dh watched BE yesterday and loved her. He's about as far from her core demographic as possible.

Am watching Sam Fender and the Blossoms. Sam I didn't love as much as I was expecting. Blossoms amazing but I hate the print on his jumpsuit

Supergrass next the Foals by the sounds of it

Figgygal · 25/06/2022 10:31

You couldnt get me there for all the tea in China but crowded house were awesome.

The line up is crap this year imo dreading McCartney he can't hold a tune these days

lugeforlife · 25/06/2022 10:33

Ohhh yes I liked crowded house (except for the screaming kid)

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 10:38

Ds2 suggested little simz , I don't know much about her or her music at all.
Rapping is not my thing at all , but I'm impressed by her set. So confident.
It's nice to see younger talent there. As well as 80 year olds and crowded house who are also getting on a bit too!

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 10:50

I'm surprised they are having Paul McCartney on as headliner but apparently his gig at a pub in Frome went off well.
His band are pretty good. It might not be too bad . You never know.

Our local brewery is doing Glastonbrewery. Lots of fun, screens showing the music, fake grass and hay bales. Very much enjoyed Idles earlier while my child vaulted the hay

What a brilliant idea. I haven't caught up with much yet. Just Sam Fender's last song and then Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. But I was thinking: I get a much better view from here, for free, with a comfortble bed afterwards. To have a pub with hay bales to capture a bit of the atmosphere would be the perfect balance.

Sisisimone · 25/06/2022 11:09

I took dd to see Billie Eilish in Manchester a few weeks ago and she was incredible. Can't believe all the talk of being "too old" for her. Do people really limit what music they listen to because of their age? Don't understand that at all

So jealous of everyone there this year, such a good line up. Can't wait to see Kendrick's set.

Have been loving Little Simz, Foals, Wolf Alice, Sigrid. Saw Blossoms at another festival last month and they killed it. Love them

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 11:12

Blossoms have been around a while but I've never seen them live until I watched it yesterday on tv. They were very good.
The idles are strange!!
Bit punky .

YouLando · 25/06/2022 11:52

Yes, Crowded House were great, one of my favourite bands of all time. Loved I Got You at the end from Neil's Split Enz days, but also didn't appreciate his grandson's screeching!

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 12:04

So many hits by crowded house , but I wasn't a huge fan in the 90s to be honest.
It's only now I can appreciate the lyrics and how great they are (minus the little child ! )
Am watching Robert plant / Alison Krauss now.
It's a shame they couldn't get Fleetwood Mac. I thought they were pencilled in for 2020 50th anniversary? Or maybe a rumour. I wonder if they will ever play there ?

TheFutureIs · 25/06/2022 12:23

5 year old is watching Wet Leg, she's loving it! Going to watch Skunk Anansie at home then head back to the brewery to sit on a hay bale

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 12:26

You should watch Wetleg from a chaise lounge ! 😂
Haybales are cool though

From what I've heard, Fleetwood Mac are not performing well these days. CMcV & SNs vocals aren't really up to the job any more.

I think bands should retire when that happens - let people remember them as they were rather than having people pay to see a poor performance.

megletthesecond · 25/06/2022 12:40

Sam Fender was great. He's been around for so long it was lovely to see him with a massive audience.
Wet Leg are always cheering.

Must catch up with others. I don't know many Kendrick Lamar songs off the top of my head, I hope he's good tomorrow.

PuppyMonkey · 25/06/2022 12:41

I put it on last night and was very underwhelmed by the choice of performers tbh - nobody that I thought ooh I’ve got to see that. If I was at Glastonbury, I’d have binned the boring music and gone and done something else for the night in one of the other fields.

Hellsbe · 25/06/2022 12:43

TLC were bloody brilliant as was rufus wainwright. BE grew on me. Dh said the same! Good to see positive role models for young girls.
I’d put arlo parks and little sims in that category as well!
All set for tonight’s offerings. Got snacks wine and ordering pizza later!

florenceandthemac · 25/06/2022 12:54

Blossoms and Sam Fender 🙌🏼

Floralnomad · 25/06/2022 16:03

I would like to know what Crowded House thought the screaming child would bring to the act - I turned that bit off as I didn’t want it to cloud my judgement about the rest of the set , which was thoroughly enjoyable .

Punkypinky · 25/06/2022 16:21

Just watching Blossoms really enjoying it. Loads of other things I should be doing but hey ho.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss...brilliant.
Wet Leg, Sam Fender both great.

Hellsbe · 25/06/2022 18:01

The screaming kid in the crowded house set was embarrassing.
Probably some family member of the band persuaded them to give the precocious little shite a go at entertaining the crowd Cringe! 😀

Son of guitarist, grandson of lead singer.

@lolil Oh dear😌

CTPT · 25/06/2022 18:11

Enjoyed Billie Eilish, I'm going to sound old.. but I am a bit surprised they still allow so many strobe lights in this day & age. I always feel a little sorry for anyone in the audience who they might affect!
