Loved Wet Leg and St Vincent so far - enjoying Billie Ellish right now.

Been to the festival 5 times and it's great fun but I am enjoying being indoors and comfy and warm and clean - must be getting old!

This would have been better suited to the Sunday afternoon slot imo. And I don't think he should think fuck it I'll please myself. The whole point of him being there is to please the crowd who've likely spend hundreds of pounds to be there.

He's definitely seen his arse over the crowd's lack of reception to his new songs.

Octomore · 25/06/2022 23:54

This shows the Glasto main stage acts in 1997. What the fuck happened that this year we're listening to Crowded House, Noel Gallagher, and Macca? Is it just oldies who go these days?

Is that the same Hofner bass he has been playing for more than half a century?

Probably. Horrible things to play tbf but quite distinctive

woodhill · 25/06/2022 23:54

cakeorwine · 25/06/2022 23:55

I’m totally loving this! He’s 80 fgs!
So many great songs. I like the new ones too but love the old ones!
It’s rock and roll - no bloody autotune. His singing is great and authentic and heartfelt

Yeah totally agree, such a brilliant mix and an actual show of what he wants to play..And he's 80 years old... I'm blown away by that! None of us could do it. Some of you are right sour pusses!! Grumbling about how shite it is.

BetsyJameson · 25/06/2022 23:55

@Sparklingbrook He’s at Glastonbury so rumoured to be performing with him.

Sparklingbrook · 25/06/2022 23:55

Who did he write this one for? It's as awful as John's and Nancy's ones.

GylesBrandrethNewJumper · 25/06/2022 23:55

Seems we are now at the circus

JaneJeffer · 25/06/2022 23:56

Who do you think should be there @Octomore?

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/06/2022 23:56

Enough, I'm going to bed.

littlbrowndog · 25/06/2022 23:56

JaneJeffer · 25/06/2022 23:56

WhenPushComesToShove · 25/06/2022 23:56

WildThing87 · 25/06/2022 23:56

@JaneJeffer apologies!!! It's all over socials so never thought to not mention it!

Ah ok. I'm no Bruce fan but Macca needs all the HELP! he can get at this point.

Octomore · 25/06/2022 23:57

the80sweregreat · 25/06/2022 23:51

There have been lots of new talent and younger people , but I think he should have been on Sunday afternoon and just done Beatles hits
Everyone happy ..

The main Friday and Saturday night slots on the Pyramid stage haven't really been new talent though, except Billie Eilish.

Sparklingbrook · 25/06/2022 23:58

Is it 'Leaning on a lamppost' time again.

woodhill · 25/06/2022 23:58

On Sgt Peppers

sammyjoanne · 25/06/2022 23:58

Sorry Paul Mccartney, He can sing but his voice sounds too frail now in some of the notes. Hes a legend still of course.
Loved later part of Noel Gallaghers set. Loved Olivia, Yungblud was entertaining to watch. And the Foals were great as well as Wolf Alice and Haim and Supergrass.
