Loved Wet Leg and St Vincent so far - enjoying Billie Ellish right now.

Been to the festival 5 times and it's great fun but I am enjoying being indoors and comfy and warm and clean - must be getting old!

I've heard Bruce Springsteen might be performing with Macca.. He's apparently at Glastonbury now... Now going to sleep so will check in the morning!

Imagine if I said Noel Gallagher!

He's the sound engineer for one of the bands, it was on his career bucket list. So not quite as exciting as playing on stage but millions more times exciting than my job!

Aw, congratulations @Horriblewoman DH! I don't think we would have left you alone if you had said noel 😁
Might go to bed. Not enjoying Macca at all.

Runnerduck34 · 25/06/2022 22:52

Always think Paul mcartney/ beatles are over rated.
But I'm watching it as hoping it will be better than I think but actually so far as expected- not very good!
He is amazing for 80 though, , not many 80 year olds could carry it off tbh. And he does look great for his age, although money obviously helps!
Hopefully backing singers and audience will carry him through.

RooniIWazlib · 25/06/2022 22:53

Ooh he's learned how to play the guitar. Finally put the fucking bass down

AngelinaFibres · 25/06/2022 22:54

He's not as bad as Rod Stewart at the platinum jubilee horror show. He isn't very good though. They must have every clever sound trick going to make him sound even passable and his band are doing an awful of 'carrying'

Oh behave. He’s always played both and is a good guitarist and bass player.

Jellykat · 25/06/2022 22:55

Hes dry warbling through this as i feared.. hes making me want to grab a strepsil

JaneJeffer · 25/06/2022 22:55

That's cool @Horriblewoman. Does he travel with one band?

Snozzlemaid · 25/06/2022 22:55

Not winning me over at all. Still don't like him.
Bet we'll have to listen to days of how amazing he was though in the press.

FloydPepper · 25/06/2022 22:55

Add l though tbf I want more Beatles stuff, and atbthe moment I think Noel was the one I enjoyed more…

AngelinaFibres · 25/06/2022 22:55

An 80 year old man singing " If I come on to you, will you come on to me ". Giving sleezy grandad at a wedding vibes 🤑

CuriousCatfish · 25/06/2022 22:56

Well this is as shit as I expected.

woodhill · 25/06/2022 22:56

Yes he started playing at 14

Loved Noel so much , entertaining and well put together
He is also funny and seems a bit more humble these days too.
He'll be a national treasure in a few more years !
Go Noel

7eleven · 25/06/2022 22:57

I’m watching McCartney more out of respect rather than enjoyment. At his age surely this could be his swan song performance. There’s no doubt that he’s one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Hope he sings Yesterday

Jellykat · 25/06/2022 22:57

Tbh the only singer of that generation that can still belt it out (and how) is Sir Tom!

BigRedDuck · 25/06/2022 22:57

Still having flashbacks from the jubilee show. Awful.

Its really put me off watching Diana Ross tomorrow too!

He's toured the world with many different ones over the years but just one band at the mo.

God this is dull, I'm only waiting for Bruce to appear and liven things up.

Yes, definitely!
Tom's the only one that's still got it.
