I can't believe no white people supported their Asian colleagues for equal pay!

And on a more frivolous note I'd love some proper 70's Smarties now!

It’s a good watch

BlueBlueCowWondering · 21/06/2022 20:59

Thoroughly enjoying this.

But the racist graffiti was a shock

BlueBlueCowWondering · 21/06/2022 21:03

Sorry, that was trite of me. I meant that the programme was jogging along with lots of pleasant reminiscing about the 70s until we were suddenly faced with the racist reality that the family had to endure. .

Yes it was a jolt.

i remember being scared of the NF. It produces such a response in me that I hate seeing number plates with NF on!

I really enjoyed this, it was very interesting and such a lovely family.

It was good. I watched again with my dd2 and she enjoyed it too.
if it was less of a gallop through the decades then even better.

Such a lovely family. Just watching the first programme and the old men they invited round for the baked bean curry made me well up. One of them must be in his 80s and still crying for the mum he left behind to come here and work.
