Anyone watching it on Sky?

I'm struggling with it.
Premise is good but it's a bit slow ....

ArmWrestlingWithChasNDave · 17/06/2022 21:51

I've watched two episodes. I can't say I'm very invested in any of the characters, and I don't feel much urge to watch the third. It's not terrible though.

I do have a theory about how it will end...

rosegoldwatcher · 19/06/2022 16:40

I have watched it all over two days. Loved it!
The scenes of the woman giving birth again and again were harrowing though.

Escarpahell · 19/06/2022 16:43

Love it - so well written. Caroline Quentin is brilliant.

TottersBlankly · 19/06/2022 16:49

I watched it all in one day! (Yesterday.)

Was sceptical at first - the first two or three episodes weren’t … outstanding. (Only kept going out of Essiedu adoration.) But it really kicked off after that.

Perhaps there needs to be a SPOILER alert in the title heading???

PurpleWisteria · 19/06/2022 16:51

Two episodes to go. I like it.

TottersBlankly · 19/06/2022 16:54

Meant to say - I’m looking out for news of S2. They left enough hanging …

ermagerdabear · 19/06/2022 16:58

I really enjoyed it. Thought it could have been a bit silly, but it was actually really well done. Great cast as well.

Have just done a little Googling. The writer (who also wrote the brilliant Giri/Haji) has every intention of making another series.

The actor who plays sullen Shiv is he who played happy, smiley James in The Split!

TottersBlankly · 19/06/2022 17:14

Giri/Haji was a beautiful thing.

But I’d have hoped Lazarus S2 would be well beyond the ‘intention’ stage by now … Sad

Hi OP,

We've had a few reports about your thread containing spoilers, this is fine as long as users are aware so we have edited your thread title:-)

ArmWrestlingWithChasNDave · 19/06/2022 17:45

What spoilers? That an unknown woman gives birth at an unknown time?

Forestdweller11 · 21/06/2022 12:45

Mmmm, not sure there are any spoilers, but I suppose just in case!. I binge watched it over two nights and struggled to comprehend anything for the first couple of episodes.

I did like the series (and I loved Giri/Haji) and the genetics of the writer in this were obvious.

What I absolutely hate is massive cliff hangers at the end of a series. I always feel cheated and to be honest if I'd know there was going to be such a cliff hanger I might have held off until series 2 and binged both together.

I love Tom Burke as Rebrov

Paapa Essiedu was great as George and the realisation that he couldn't actually mould the future was poignant. And the general realisation that he was getting more and more out of his depth and consequences of actions/the resets.

Rudi Dharmalingham was fabulous as well, I'd like to see more of him.

It was a strong cast all round really.

Can't wait for series 2

I thought it was fantastic. So many twists and turns. Loved Caroline Quentin too.

WarmBeerAndSandwiches · 26/06/2022 02:00

Absolutely loved it, as did DH. So many good actors in it and it was very well written and gave you things to think about. Oh, and it had Tom Burke in. Wink

MandyMotherOfBrian · 26/06/2022 10:25

Binged this (and I never binge!). Loved it, the premise, the story, the actors - so many good actors, it had to be good. Shiv!!!!!!!! Can’t wait for S2 - I’m predicting 1st July 2023 😁
