Has anyone else watched this? It’s on iplayer.

Lovely, genuinely funny sitcom. Great cast including Alison Stedman. It’s a family based comedy and it’s all shot by the son of the family.

It’s great

Isn’t it. But I couldn’t think of a way to describe it without it sounding dross.

I liked this too. But I don't think the critical response was very warm.

JohannSebastianBach · 05/06/2022 18:27

Is it something I could watch with my 10 year old?

Saucery · 05/06/2022 18:28

It grew on me. Was quite sweet in places. The last episode though - nope, no excusing what they did as drink driving is never ok and never a subject for comedy.

Hatinafield · 05/06/2022 18:29

My family all like it, I can’t bear it! It’s like being stuck in a dreadful family day out that never ends 😂

cigarettesNalcohol · 05/06/2022 19:05

My DH loves it. I think it's easy to watch and lighthearted. Can see the appeal

Iamthewombat · 05/06/2022 19:10

I really like it. There are several laugh out loud moments in every episode and the cast are good. I hope it comes back for more series.

RedRosie · 05/06/2022 19:20

I thought it was gentle, funny and thoughtful. Qualities which mean it's probably not exciting enough for many.

icelollycraving · 05/06/2022 20:26

I love Alison Steadman. I am not mad about this in honesty but I did watch it all on iplayer when I was unwell.

Floralnomad · 05/06/2022 20:29

We watched a couple of episodes and it didn’t improve so we gave up - I didn’t think it worked at all but the only thing I’ve seen with Katherine Parkinson that I’ve liked is the IT crowd , otherwise I find her very peculiar .

whenwillthemadnessend · 05/06/2022 20:35

It's watchable but motherland is much much better.

ThatshallotBaby · 05/06/2022 20:54

I really liked it.
Hit the right spots I thought. Made me feel more normal tbh Grin

HelloSpringIveMissedYou · 05/06/2022 21:02

I binge watched this, I came across it by accident.

I really enjoyed it.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 05/06/2022 21:04

I love it

redfairy · 05/06/2022 21:26

I love this programme all the characters. My only beef is that their doorbell is the same as mine and the blasted dog keeps running to the front door each time the bell rings.

KangarooKenny · 05/06/2022 21:40

The filming made me feel sea sick, I turned it off.

Fere · 05/06/2022 21:42

I loved it

Is it something I could watch with my 10 year old?

I would say so. I don’t think is is anything too rude except for in the last episode, and then things are more implied than anything else. I don’t recall any swearing. But it might not be something that a 10 year old would find funny.

YetAnotherNam · 06/06/2022 20:49

@KangarooKenny me too, couldn’t bear it.

ILoveAllRainbowsx · 06/06/2022 20:53

I liked the pilot which was on about a year ago but almost up after the first few minutes of the first episode but I glad I persevered.

Yes, drink driving shouldn't be in a comedy.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 06/06/2022 20:55

It's great.

Apart from the cringe episode where the Alison Stedman character was pretty much stealing food from her Italian boyfriend's cafe !

Caminante · 06/06/2022 20:59

I really liked it! Some very solid comic actors.

Crackercrazy · 06/06/2022 21:48

I loved it. Have watched it several times. Some of the references may me really laugh. Didn’t agree with the drunk driving though.
