Anyone watching this series?
I really loved the flat with the garden which lead into the lovely path to the sea couldn't believe their bad luck when it fell through!

Ah have missed it - what time / day is it on so I can pop it on record?

MacaroniBaloney · 02/06/2022 12:36

HermioneWeasley · 11/06/2022 21:25

They described where I live as “up market” so I’m happy 😁

I still really like the show but am disappointed they're not so nice when the filming stops.
Anyone else notice / look at Kirstie's rings, dresses, coats and shoes when watching ? Smile

I have worked with Phil a fair bit and you really could not meet a nicer more hard working guy.

Badger1970 · 11/06/2022 21:44

They filmed one local to us a while ago. The 3 x houses were dreadful and had been sat unsold on the market for ages........ anyone with local knowledge would have been screaming NOOOOO at the TV! The research was appalling and didn't take any of the couples' needs into account whatsoever.

thefirstfortyeight · 11/06/2022 21:45

That's interesting as our estate was on the last series and the couple had the opposite experience! They wouldn't have considered here before but love the house and location, say it was exactly what they were looking for.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/06/2022 20:13

I love it when local to me

last episode proves it’s locstion

thry didn’t want to commute 40 mins each way so git a flat in central rather then a house and garden but commute

willstarttomorrow · 17/06/2022 21:42

@Blondeshavemorefun - totally agree! I have not watched it for a long time but I watched again for the first time last week because I am in Leeds. I love Glasgow and would choose a central character flat over the suburbs any time. I dream of living one level. Late DH grew up in a flat in central Edinburgh (one of 6 siblings) and it certainly did them no harm at all- the city was their playground!

I predicted straight away last week that young professionals moving from London would focus on Chapel Allerton in Leeds- so bloody predictable. As for the single guy wanting a four bedroom house in a good area for £240 000- just wow! Yes you can buy a 4 bedroom house in Leeds for that price but it is big city and strangely enough if a house is that price it is not going to be in an 'up and coming' or 'up and come' area. I know the areas of the houses he was shown- the last house is just off the ring road in Bramley, by a busy drive through McDonalds and a petrol station. It will never be a desirable location.

I think it ended with him buying a house he had already seen in Chapletown. A great, diverse area but certainly not the middle class enclave of Horsforth he wanted. I have know lots of people who have lived there and loved it with good reason, but it is very 'inner -city' - not in a cafe culture way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/06/2022 05:26

I just can’t imagine not having a garden. Esp for kids

know lockdown was extreme and prob never happen again but god I felt for friends who lived in flats

ans it’s soooooooo hot in Kent at the moment. Hence why awake at 5am and so nice dd can potter outside in pool or spa and play on trampoline or her swing or take dolls into a tent

remember seeing a lll few months back and family looking at flats no garden v being near a park

it’s hassle to go to the park eveey day when can do at things at home and dd play in rhe garden

and me cook tea or tidy up or make the bed or hang washing out

i would always chose a garden over location

I'm watching it but I've gone off them in general. A family member was on love it or list it recently and Phil gave really poor advice! He took them to terrible areas and options within our city and the show was edited to dumb down my family members to make them look like they were divided and that she was stupid when in actual fact they both expressed they wished to stay there as her family lived round the corner and both have advanced degrees/qualifications and worked in high level roles. They just wanted advice to build space. And they said that Kirsty and Phil were barely there and only turned up for the filmed bits that's it. and that they were very different off camera. I was a huge fan of the show to the point that when I go to buy my first home later this year/next year I was going to apply but after seeing the reality of both shows I think I won't bother now.

This has to be the Lincoln one. If so, It was pretty frustrating how the woman wouldn't consider any houses because she was so desperate to stay next to all her family. Screamed codependency to me but if you say it was the editing, I'll believe you.

Assanctamonioysastheycome · 18/06/2022 16:34

@willstarttomorrow I grew up in Horsforth and it's funny how it's now so desirable and middle class. I sold the family home a few years ago when my parents died and was really sad to say goodbye to the place (no longer have family or many friends there anymore). I'm amazed at how quick property moves and how expensive it is. Years ago just ordinary families on our street....

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/06/2022 00:14

grr Wonder why not

LadyEloise1 · 23/06/2022 09:42

I wondered too why it was not on.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 23/06/2022 09:53

Kirstie once called a very ordinary housing estate in my home town a 'village', the out of towners fell for it and bought the house.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/06/2022 20:10

Anyone watching tonight Harvie and ranjit

Just came on especially to see if anyone was watching. What a pair of idiots! Don't they realise a kitchen can be replaced and as for not liking the gradient of the road 🤦‍♀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/06/2022 19:05

Just watching now as worked last night

1.6million budget for 4bed. Wow

for that I expect 6 😂😂

LadyEloise1 · 30/06/2022 19:38

I watched it last night also. There were some cracking houses in the 1.6 million bracket.
I thought the couple were a bit nit picky.
No wonder they've seen and lost out on so many houses.
It was lovely to see the happiness of the first time buyers when they got their home.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/06/2022 20:55

Yes very fussy tho wouid I be there same if I had 1.6million

lovely first time buyers found their dream home

purpleme12 · 30/06/2022 21:18

It is there, but it's not labelled Series 37, it's called Home Counties (I have it on now).
