I don't normally watch WWBAM, but did tonight, as am a big Peter Kay fan.

Do all the audience normally all dress in black? Why on earth do they make them do that (am assuming they are told to, and there wasn't some sort of spooky coincidence...)

Maybe they have to blend in the background.... I've never noticed it to be honest, but then I watch mine in Italy.

I noticed that they were all dressed in black on Deal or No Deal earlier this week. I think its to keep attention on the people in the middle and make it seem more dramatic.

emsiewill · 12/01/2008 21:17

Well I didn't notice it the last time I saw it - but that was ages ago, maybe I've forgotten, maybe I just didn't notice then.

But it really stood out to me tonight, and to dd2.

I've never noticed- the relatives (on the normal one) definitely aren't in black, are they? Weird.

emsiewill · 12/01/2008 21:17

Hmmm, think it's backfiring, I was paying a LOT of attention to the audience, to see if I was imagining it!

Just had this convo with dp. I've been to watch it with my sis (slightly embarrassed admission) and thew rule was no bright colours or stripes, etc. Not all black.

Yes, we did notice that a couple of people were in other (sober) colours, but most were in black.

Ho hum, the excitements of a Saturday night...not like my night(s) with Jonathan Cohen ( to Califrau!)

Definately the first few rows are all in black/dark tops I've noticed before. Suppose it would attract the eye away from the black chair.

Like CT always has to have a dark suit of some awful shiny material with equally awful matching shiny tie??!
