What political sentiment? Why does everyone suddenly like the UK and dislike Germany this year?

I think the UK winning and Germany losing pretty much reflects the political sentiment. But I still think the British song was great

Definitely some political voting going on but was the UK’s song really that great? I thought it was okay’ish 🤷🏻‍♀️
