Secret spenders anyone else watching?

I'm getting so irritated at the laughing about the crazy spending.
The guy who's bought the expensive shoes that don't even fit! I'm hoping something helps as that poor woman wants to take her dad away.

I just get so angry!! How can they be so utterly stupid?

I said to dh i don't know how to take these programmes. I feel like the media is trying to put a spin on things in light of the cost of living crisis, where people just need to stop being so silly with money.

How much did the first couple earn? I missed that bit. I can't believe people spend like that and need tv people to come in and sort their money out. Is it not just common sense to stop spending £££ on shopping or eating out of you want to save up for something? Or maybe that's just me!

What an annoying show. Particularly at the moment when people are genuinely struggling, and it's not because they've bought too much designer gear and cars!

The pair of them are in cloud cuckoo....how she's got the neck to complain about him (the main earner, she won't be getting much as a carer's allowance) spending and then she has a £2,700 facial? Just ugh.

These programmes are all the same. They focus on people who earn a decent wage but waste it on stupid stuff. They should be doing programmes on how the normal person who earns less than the average annual wage who are barely scraping by.

Yes that would be watchable.

They won't make programmes like that though because it won't be the big massive savings and won't make the programme look like they are wonderful professionals.

There was one recently where a couple were spending all their money on designer crap and moaning they couldn't afford a deposit for a house. The sort of spending which would be unattainable for most people. It really pisses me off these programmes, as then you get a load of people thinking all young people are like that and that it is their fault they can't buy a house. These programmes just encourage these untrue stereotypes even more.

@AnotherFuzzyJumper I can't see episode 4 either on 4oD - I'm glad you said that, I thought it was a glitch on my laptop. Feel a bit ashamed, I was only wanting to see how they dealt with the hot tub splasher!

Episode 4 is on 4OD now. It's nuts, there's a man spending £100 pm on bedding and they've got bags and bags of unused stuff in the loft. Just why?
