Josh Brolin is ranch owner. A mysterious black hole suddenly appears in one of their pastures.

I’ve watched the first two episodes. Really not sure what to make of it at the moment but seems entertaining!

Yes, I enjoyed it though I did find some of it very dark in a bad lighting way,

It had a Lost sort of vibe, looking forward to next episode

LoveMyPiano · 18/04/2022 12:14

I have just watched it, without fully concentrating, I must admit.
I dont know why I did though..... I hate holes in the ground (when seen from above), I don''t like caves, disagree with rodeos - and there are FAR too many stuffed animals here and there.
Buffalos usually signify something don't they?
Did the runaway calf actually exist?
The grass doesn't look very healthy for all those animals.....
"Autumn Rivers..." ????
It's surely obvious who killed the son of the other rancher - and anyway, doesn''t the hole bring people back to life? Or only select ones. The daughter/in-law still missing?
And now, an alternate dimension.
Very confusing.

I'm watching. Really don't know what to make of it at the moment.

User7493268965 · 19/04/2022 10:45

I think there are two episodes each Friday so hopefully will get some answers, the end of episode 2 was very strange

ellebelli · 25/04/2022 11:38

Any one still watching?I've watched all available and not sure what I think...would like to know what others do?
It's odd 😕
Gotta love the brothers(can remember name)singing..all songs I like(had bloody angel of the morning stuck in my head for days)

Rollergirl11 · 25/04/2022 12:09

@ellebelli I’m still watching and am a bit non-plussed. The Dad and the brother keep breaking in to song is very random. In fact Daddy Tillerson is utterly barking mad. I don’t know what he’s talking about half the time. Also the bloody irritating woman Autumn, wouldn’t you just tell her to fuck off of your land at this point?

Are we thinking that Perry’s wife’s disappearance is something to do with the hole? DH was also originally thinking that Autumn would turn out to be Royal’s Mum and she has come from the hole but not so sure now.

I’ve been watching. It does remind me of Lost a bit. (Perhaps they’re all dead?) I have no idea what’s going on. It is at once confusing and very slow. Josh Brolin is good in it though and I might watch next week.

User7493268965 · 25/04/2022 12:13

I'm still watching and like it but I just wish it wasn't so badly lit, the mountain disappearing is almost straight out of Lost, likewise the Bison.

Rollergirl11 · 25/04/2022 12:22

You’re right it deffo has Lost vibes. I wish they’d show us more of the alternate universe where Royal was chased and got shot!

What's with all the cult and colour yellow business?
That's quite a good(bonkers)theory with autumn being royals mum.
I am just watching for the cowboys and the scenery at this point.

cushioncovers · 01/05/2022 09:09

I'm still watching but I haven't a clue what's going on.

User7493268965 · 01/05/2022 09:17

I'm really enjoying it but that doesn't mean I know what's going on, last two episodes on Friday I think but I am on holiday so will have to wait until I get home as I won't have enough data to stream it.

User7493268965 · 01/05/2022 09:19

I wonder if it will end on a cliffhanger about the alternate universe and that will be next season as we have only had glimpses so far

ellebelli · 06/05/2022 09:38

Well I've given up with it.
It's just too silly and making no sense,I've ozark and better call Saul to watch so feel like im wasting time with this!
Patty looks like she's been dug up and autumn had her boo boo kissed better by a bear.
Only good thing about it is the music.
Love that poison song and I've been knocking twice on the pipes ever since!😁

Sgtmajormummy · 06/05/2022 09:53

I’m watching. And really enjoying it.

The cliff hangers at the end of episode 4(?) had me shouting in my seat as the rest of the episode was pretty boring. I’m going to stick with it and hope it doesn’t turn into a Lost style confusion/irritation.
I like the way the characters “know” the tide is turning for them, for better or worse we still have to find out. Was the young boy covered in crude oil crawling towards Tillerson a young Royal?
I’ve noticed that Amazon takes one star actor to carry the series and uses them in almost every scene. I felt quite sorry for Patrick Stewart in Picard. He must be about 80!
it took me a long time to realize the crazy young neighbour with a penchant for 80s music is Patrick from Schitt’s Creek!

User7493268965 · 06/05/2022 21:40

I have finished it now...

QuebecBagnet · 06/05/2022 22:48

Just caught up with all available episodes. Was that the end of season one? Because still loads of questions.

cushioncovers · 07/05/2022 20:21

Just watched episode 7 where Abott tells his son his back story.

QuebecBagnet · 07/05/2022 21:17

They better have a season two, really enjoyed this.

Sgtmajormummy · 09/05/2022 14:46

We watched ep.s 7 &8 yesterday. Quite a few doors closed and others opened, so plenty of scope for a second series.

Rollergirl11 · 09/05/2022 21:23

Finished it too. I really liked it. When do you think fair to discuss the last episodes?

OP posts:
QuebecBagnet · 09/05/2022 23:09

I think fine to discuss now.

I was so shocked by realising who the strange hippy camping girl was!

cushioncovers · 10/05/2022 10:10

Who was the strange hippy girl? Autumn you mean? What am I missing?

QuebecBagnet · 10/05/2022 11:23

Yes Autumn was the grown up granddaughter, Amy.

QuebecBagnet · 10/05/2022 11:24

Which I guess is why she knew Royale was a time traveller because she’s a time traveller too.
