A moan about Britains got talent

I'm finding watch BGT increasingly annoying because has anyone else noticed that the camera films more of the panel than they do of the performing acts. JUST LET US WATCH THE FKIN ACTS FFS. Instead as soon as the acts start to perform the camera switches to the panel or Ant & Dec or the audience. Its as though the show is more about the panel etc rather than the acts. I'm so fed up of this show because of this I have had to switch off.

It annoys me as well !!
And the stupid introduction they do do !

Without all that faffing around gimmicks from the 6 of them ....they could show more of the acts ? !

bigyellowTpot · 18/04/2022 00:30

Yes glad someone else has noticed too, the show was good years ago when it first started. But now it's nothing about the acts at all it really annoys me when you start watching an act that is good then the bloody camera pans away and switches to the panel so we don't really get chance to see the performance. why do they do this??

It annoys me because its just so awful

Hasnt it run its course. Time for something new

whoturnedthesunoff · 18/04/2022 22:16

It was rubbish

You are so right and moan away OP, camera constantly showing either the judges or Ant and Dec, though to be fair the acts seem to revolve more and more around the judges or AntDec. They are either being invited on the stage, the act goes to their table, the act sings a song about them or does jokes about them. If I see Amanda Holden doing her 'look at me aren't I wonderful' ( no Amanda, you're not) - dancing one more time......Boring.
Intertwined with that we get 20 mins emotional/sad back story and half a minute of the act. Boring.
It is very rarely about genuine talent. Yawn yawn yawn.

ClaudiusTheGod · 06/05/2022 19:08

The acts are crap. The children’s ones especially are generally of the standard of a well-rehearsed school production. Not much talent on show.

AlisonDonut · 06/05/2022 19:10

The more people watch this utter tripe the most people will get utter tripe fed to them.

I can't believe people actually sit and watch this utter tripe.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2022 20:56

Yep

with Amanda catching flies with an open mouth

or

Dabbing her eyes

Spot on OP!

I don’t like how the camera shots gos widescreen, then from a side view etc. For dance groups etc, there’s too much faffing around,

i recommend watching Lee Nelson ‘Rapping Rabbi’ On BGT. It’s a fascinating behind the scenes programme about BGT.

I watched the last auditions here as there is no TV access.

I did not notice any problems with the camera. There were no stupid freeze frames.

But with sad stories, they overdid it this season. 20 minutes of cutting slimy shots and 1 minute of an average performance.

BDeyes · 19/05/2022 19:46

just noticed a few more replies on my post. I only watched the first 2 episodes couldn't take it any longer. has this series finished yet? some of those acts spent months practising and rehearsing to have all of 3 seconds worth shown on TV whilst the rest of the time the camera was elsewhere mostly on the panel, Simons new face, look at me arnt I fabulous Amanda, David being a dick, and who ever else it is. infact the audience get more screen time than the acts! so this year some random called Susan in row H seat 38 should win as we probably seen more of her than any of the acts lol.

How did I know the new season of The Voice UK will start soon, who will be watching?
