Does anyone else love this? DH laughs when I watch it, but I love it.

I do get unreasonably annoyed though when people can't time their drop correctly. I get too invested.

Am I alone?

I watch it but hate it when a contestant anticipates the end of a question, answers correctly and then Ben repeats the question at the end. I always hurl abuse at the TV at that point!

Or when they don't even attempt a question (round 2) where you could eg which UK country has the highest peak or something like that. Fair enough you may not know but you have a 1 n 4 chance of being right just guess instead of passing.

Then the contestants who have having a freaking orgasm 'come on machine, come on, please please oh please' ha why do I love this show!

My DH professes to hating this program but he's the biggest yeller at rhe TV shouting NOW when a contestant has shitty timing

I also hate when they say "Ooh it's a rider/it's riding". For some reason it makes me so angry. I really need to relax more 😂
I watch The Chase as well (you can see I have a vet fulfilling life) and when Bradley says "Good answer!" I scream "It's not a good answer, it's the fecking right answer!!"

@Sidisawetlettuce ah they are so easy to watch. I WFH and sometimes take the laptop to the sitting room at 5pm to watch one episode. I know I choose who I want to win because some people really annoy me with their ott reactions!

I'm not mad about the chase. Although I like that newer version they have of it.

My favourite ever answer to a question on Tipping Point was: "Who in the Bible did the dance of the Seven Veils?"
Contestant: "Jesus."

I love this show, Ben is a legend.

Or yesterday when a contestant was asked what was Nelsons first name and she said "Admiral". I properly laughed at that. Not hastily- it's totally something I would have said myself

My 7 month old LOVES it...all the shiny coins 😅 I get frustrated at how SLOW that machine moves and the weird squeaky 'ooohh' some contestants make when they get over excited.

@TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme that is something I would say! Another contestant, I can forgive for them not knowing but the question was ' With European country was Bertie Ahern PM of' she said Australia!

I like both Tipping Point and The Chase and what is the new one with that Mitchell brother? Russ what's his name? something about a bridge? They jump on things. They are either true or false.

I love Tipping Point!
I always pick my ‘favourite’ contestant at the outset, just from their names / occupations / where they live!

This is why I only watch Pointless: if the contestants do something stupid (either tactically dumb or through ignorance) then Xander and Richard will happily call them out on it, nicely but honestly. They treat the contestants as equals and I find it much less patronising than the "oh that's a shame, but you had a good guess, how were you to know that Mexico wasn't the capital of the USA" approach.
