Is anyone watching Hard Cell with Catherine Tate?

Like, a LOT of Catherine Tate, I think she's playing six characters. I've watched half of the first episode and it's quite funny but there is a LOT of her and I think there might be a limit to how much I can take.

Ahh shame. Thought I’d outed you. I would recommend watching it to the end as I think it’s better scripted and realised than The Office (I can say that now I am not going to personally offend you).

I was going to stop watching it after the first one as I found it cringey, unfunny and too much of Catherine Tate. However I stuck with it and surprisingly loved it by the end. Some real laugh out loud moments, sad and poignant moments.

I didn’t find the first episode funny, but it got better as it went on. You have to like Catherine Tate, though, for sure .

As a PP said. Very early 2000s feel to it. Just cemented why I've not been a fan of her work previously.

I wasn't sure after the first episode, but I kept it on in the background and by the end I was hooked. Completely thrown by the ending.

I find that in a lot of CT's work. There was one particular sketch which recently did the rounds on FB and I almost cringed myself inside out when k watched the first few minutes. She's in an office and apparently has to speak to a number of colleagues in their native languages. French, Italian and Indian are the ones I recall. She did the worst kind of "Allo Allo"/"It Ain't Half Hot Mum" racist impressions...it was like a throwback to the 70s. Awful.

As soon as it said comedy drama I wasn’t interested I’d have preferred a drama no comedy.

The ending was a real twist! Hope there’s a second series now.

I was looking forward to this but tried it last night and I was completely bored after fifteen minutes and didn't like the many characters Catherine Tate was playing.
Turned off it's not for me and agree that it seems very dated.

I was so disappointed by this 😞I love Catherine Tate and The Catherine Tate Show so I had high hopes for Hard Cell but I didn't enjoy it at all. Tried to bear with it a couple of episodes but just couldn't get into it.

I wasn’t loving it but had it on in the background while I scrolled on my phone. The ending though- loved it!!

You lot really need to persevere it’s gets better and better.

Just finished the last episode today. Omg the ending - I totally did not see that coming 😳

Like pp, I found the first episode or two a bit slow amd unfunny but it did get better by the end.

I think Catherine Tate is so talented. Loved all the different accents she did and how amazing she looked as Marco the prison guard 👏
