And actually have been meaning to say although I LOVE it when John gets 'angry' and gives his telling offs, sometimes I find he looks like he's relishing it just a bit too much and plays the disappointed parent card a bit too hard; it feels a bit OTT in some circumstances.
Though he pulls it off as 99% of the time, he is spot on in his observations.

I feel sorry for Cody's mum. He said he didn't get on with her because she treats him as broken. But he is broken! His mum during homestay dinner looked like someone walking on eggshells for fear of doing something wrong. She even apologised for the 'soggy' dinner. I hope Cody hears other people saying he needs help and stops blaming his mum who clearly just cares about him. Blocking shit out never ends well.

So true... I know my brother would see through this and find it deeply unattractive. I think it's what the others are saying he's addicted to the sexy time.
