CBBC Dodger - anyone watching?

Our 11 year old is really enjoying it. And I’m delighted because it’s actually a proper programme with acting and decent production values rather than the YouTube stuff he usually watches. I suggested today he could read Oliver Twist but he didn’t seem enthused. Baby steps.

I know it's on CBBC but there's still some stuff that's towards the older age range.... Is this ok for an 8 year old?

My just turned 9yo loves it.

My 8yo loves it, as do I. It is brilliantly done, if a little unbelievable in places

purpleme12 · 16/03/2022 22:33

Ah right might give it a go then

They have been showing it to my daughter in yr1...hope it's ok for 5 year olds

There are some scary bits I think. Our 6 year old has been watching it on and off. Less enthusiastic than his brother.

For younger children I’d suggest watching it with them to check they’re not scared.

It’s on CBBC which is aimed at 6 to 12 year olds.

Just to say that There are or have been some programmes that are aimed at the older end of this age range on CBBC so I wouldn't automatically assume every programme on there is ok for the younger range

@purpleme12 that’s good to know. Thanks

Crackercrazy · 17/03/2022 11:47

My DD11 loves it. I’m don’t mind it either! Has a really good cast and production albeit a bit sanitised (but I can live with that).

We're watching it. Some good acting and nice to have something to sit and watch with the kids. I haven't found it scary hut my youngest is 10 and not scared of things easily.
