Hi, can anyone recommend any travel shows? I loved My Greek Odyssey so anything similar, I just like the escapism feeling. It's a shame 'wish you were here' isn't on anymore.

Any recommendations would be appreciated - thank you Smile

Any thing involving the late great Anthony Bourdain on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Fabulous travel shows but a very different feel. Not in the least lightweight. Otherwise I enjoy Joanna Lumley's programmes and even Jayne Macdonald's endless cruise programmes. Just love anything with a bit of sun. channels 4 and 5 usually a good sources. Rome Unpacked on 4 was great. Also Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage. I could go on. I LOVE a bit of travel porn.

Thank you so much, will definitely give the Joanna Lumley shows a try as well as the others.

Yep, exactly the same, it's just pure escapism! Thank you Smile

A bit different to the ones you mentioned. But I love Anthony Bourdain's shows. No reservations, Layover & parts unknown.

Perhaps more food than travel but Stanley Tucci's recent series in Italy was lovely. Loads of sun and views as well as food!

If you have prime and add the Discovery channel (£4.99/month) there are some great 'moving abroad' shows: Caribbean Life, Mediterranean Life, plus House Hunters International. You can cancel the channel when you've had your fill.

Travel Guides Australia is very light, and funny. There are some eps on here www.youtube.com/results?search_query=travel+guides+australia+full+episodes

If you like Richard Ayoade then I recommend his series on all4.

Wow thank you!

Love food too so the Italian ones sound great.

May have to get the Discovery channel as they sound perfect.

It's strange as I have no desire to go to Australia but I love watching about it.

I live Richard Ayoade so another great suggestion.

Thank you all 😄

It's 4 very different groups of Australians travelling the world, and rating their stay.
